Women Furious After Wife Learns Her 3 Cancer Diagnoses Are Due To Her Husband’s Abhorrent Behavior
Every relationship has its ups and downs, but this digital creator’s “betrayal” went far enough to earn the labels “atrocious” and “unforgivable” from netizens.
Earlier in 2026, Eileen McGill Fox, a school teacher and mother of four, opened up about how her husband’s actions not only destroyed her marriage but also had life-altering consequences for her.
- Eileen Fox, a school teacher and mom of four, was traumatized after discovering her husband’s “secret double life” after 30 years of marriage.
- Shortly afterward, she was diagnosed with three different types of cancer and had to undergo multiple invasive procedures.
- The internet was incensed at the husband as Fox’s story resurfaced recently amid an unauthorized memoir making the rounds online.
She had envisioned her future traveling overseas and volunteering for causes, but a large chunk of her time would now have to be dedicated to battling three different types of cancer.
Fox’s story recently went viral again in October 2026 after true-crime influencer Abby Escobar, known online as Abby Blabby, shared it.
It left users infuriated, with some even suggesting that Fox should take legal action.
“We should be able to prosecute for this in all 50 states,” one person said.
Eileen Fox’s life turned upside down when she discovered her husband’s multiple affairs after a DUI arrest
Hailing from Westwood, Massachusetts, and currently living in Tampa, Florida, Fox had believed she was “safe” in her marriage of 30 years when she accidentally stumbled across her husband’s multiple infidelities.
In August 2017, her husband was arrested for a DUI in a neighboring state on his way home from a naturist resort, leaving Fox “stunned” and “numb,” she revealed on an April 2026 episode of Tell Me How You’re Mighty.
She did some “sleuthing” and soon found dozens of Craigslist messages, hotel reservations, and other proof of his adultery with several partners and s*x workers, both male and female.
“My husband’s particular form of infidelity was mostly one-night stands with men and at massage parlors. That was the beginning of the absolute shock,” she said.
At first, she was simply in shock over her husband’s “double life,” and then forced herself into a “world of magical thinking,” hoping that her husband used protection during the encounters.
But then, she decided to get herself and her husband screened for s*x*ally transmitted diseases (STDs), which was even more distressing than the cheating.
“The fact that you, the chump, have to go put your feet up in stirrups and go have this invasive exam after years of what you thought was presumed monogamy, it’s really traumatic,” she said.
Fox was soon diagnosed with three different cancers, and her private parts had to be heavily operated on
Both Fox and her husband’s reports came back negative for the usual STD tests, such as herpes, gonorrhea, and HIV. However, she did not think of HPV, and the health clinic did not suggest one either, which proved to be a costly oversight.
16 months later, when Fox went to get an annual Pap smear test at her gynecologist’s office, she found that she had contracted HPV16, a dangerous strain of the human papillomavirus associated with several types of malignancy, with the words “high risk” highlighted next to the result.
In February 2019, she was diagnosed with stage 1 vulvar cancer.
Shortly afterward, additional testing revealed stage 1 cervical cancer, followed by anal dysplasia in 2023, a precancerous condition where cells take on abnormal growth.
Fox had a lesion and most of her labia removed, and underwent a full radical hysterectomy. She has been in constant treatment every 90 days for seven years now after her doctors said the cancerous growths were treatable.
“Every day I have a physical reminder of the violence that he has perpetrated on my body,” she said on the podcast.
She added that her husband was not diagnosed with any cancers that she knows of, and his primary concern was to stop the narrative around his cheating from becoming public.
Netizens were furious over the husband’s “careless” acts of adultery
Fox’s story resonated with a lot of viewers, especially women, who readily came forward with support and their own stories of surviving cheating partners and STDs.
“How can people be this way and do that to someone that they supposedly loved at one time?” one person was shocked. Another said, “I hope she sues him and gets every penny.”
A third shared, “My ex-husband was unfaithful, and I didn’t know until I contracted HPV 2.5 years into our marriage whilst pregnant with our son.”
“It’s bad enough what cheating does to a person’s mental health but also to one’s physical health,” a fourth commented.
While most of Fox’s posts since the revelation have been about HPV and HPV-related cancer awareness, sometimes she shares personal notes, grieving the life she once had, which get showered with love from her followers.
In August 2026, she wrote about how she lost her spark somewhere amid the discovery of the affairs, a divorce proceeding, her health battles, and her mother’s advancing dementia.
“I used to have the emotional bandwidth to be thrilled about finding a rock star parking space. I used to be light-hearted. That woman is long gone,” she mourned.
Fox called out a “fake” memoir on her life amid advocating for HPV vaccine

According to the American Cancer Society, about 77.3 million Americans currently have some form of a prevalent HPV infection. CDC says that 80% to 85% of people are likely to contract at least one type of the infection in their lifetime.
Fox knew about the HPV vaccine, which was introduced in the USA in 2006 and has been shown to reduce the chances of the disease by up to 90% if taken before exposure.
However, she hesitated to vaccinate her children and thought she was above risk because of her “monogamous” marriage.
Now, she advocates for HPV awareness and the vaccine, which can be taken as early as 9 and as late as 45, albeit after consulting a doctor.
After Fox went public with her story, Tracy O. Predmore wrote a memoir on it titled THE STORY OF EILEEN MCGILL FOX: A Path of Strength, Resilience, and Inspiring Others to Embrace Health and published it on April 16, 2026.
On September 16, Fox clarified on social media that she did not authorize the book: “This is NOT my memoir! I did not cooperate with, consent to, or participate in this publication. I will let you know when my own book is available.”
A few days later, she said she bought the book and found several “outrageously wrong” claims in the first couple of pages, including details about her father, her personal background, and her educational qualifications.
“Thank you for being a piece of resistance in the patriarchy,” one of Fox’s supporters said
