What's something ridiculous you had to learn in school?

PE.
To this day I can’t comprehend why PE haters like myself were subjected to this weekly torture. Having to get changed in front of the other girls, endure their snide comments or mockery about my fat body, having to do something which was a waste of 3 hours of my life, then get changed again, and go back to normal classes with my soul having been put through a mangle.
And for what? For no purpose.
I hated maths and art, I was no good at it but tough, maths and art are necessary to a well-rounded education.
Not so PE. It should be optional. It certainly didn’t build my body bit it did destroy my soul - took me years to rebuild the thing.
Calculus. I was in 8th grade and was doing Algebra 1, for some reason the curriculum had me doing basic calculus then. It was awful, so confusing and very hard. Btw I was homeschooled
