Today our country elects its 45th president, and while “the media” has bombarded us with angles and ads, we thought we’d get a fresh perspective and find out what — if anything— kids were saying about the candidates and the presidency.
Once we dug in, a couple things became clear— the kiddos are picking up much more than we expected. They’re processing what it all means through the world as they understand it. This made for some sweet, hilarious, and sometimes shockingly insightful quotes and conversations.
We’ve collected some of our favorites here (as always, shared with permission of the parents). LittleHoots is an app that helps parents around the world keep memories with their children.

I've heard the Trump Tower taco bar makes the best tacos in the world... :P According to Trump, anyway. I'm glad Solomon has his priorities (food) sorted out <3
You want a GOOD taco? Come visit Mexico, and you'll know what a REAL taco is. Not a folded tostada with ground beef and cheddar cheese. yuck! Saying that a dish is "the best in the world" outside from its country of origin is just plain dumb.
Load More Replies...Hm. This isn't what a 4 year old would say... it's what a 4 yr old would REPEAT, from what her parents say.
Or it's what a 4 year old would say because kids are amazingly smart and understand far more than adults often realize.
Load More Replies...This whole election Trumpeting has been very Hilarious.

What Connor's mommy didn't tell him is that 53% of all white women voted for Trump. Apparently this mommy wasn't in that majority?
what parents tell their children???? it's sick. let kids be kids! don't teach them who they should hate! they'll learn it soon enough
Parents don't necessarily tell their children about the presidential election, but I imagine that it is something the children hear the adults talking about between them and therefore ask questions and form opinions. It's just another part of growing up. I see nothing wrong with children being told about the candidates and the elections and why it's important and why mom/dad are concerned about it. Children don't benefit from being told that "it's for grown ups you're too little go play with your toys"
Load More Replies...Juana you are an ugly person inside and out . People like you whom reproduce are are akin to plague ridden street rats infesting the sewage
Juana obviously mistook Hillary Clinton for v Trump. She kept the peace with Russia as SEC. He's already mandated he'll take action that will defibrillation definitely cause another war: Palestine & Israel. No way they won't go to war after Trump goes through with his plan. HE'S the war mongor. Just look at his cabinet. He lied to all the fools who voted for him! And now everyone has to pay for their ignorance and blind faith.
Load More Replies...No. Saying 'Trump is an a-hole' is a bad word, but it will also be true.
;-; Its sad to see when young children are scared of the president of the United States of America. ;-; 0.o
I think you're a prime example of someone who's been exposed to "all the propaganda out there."
Load More Replies...He's not white!! This whole campaign it's been made clear he's orange. (FIY no one claims it's okay, just how this kid feels).
Load More Replies...Perhaps the child means to use him as a toilet
Load More Replies...Sadly, most of these are at the very least influenced by adults, or repeated by the children. Too many seem entirely out of character for a child, and I have 3. None of them, and the eldest is nearly 12, have ever made a political statement. They're more interested in lego, minecraft and Harry Potter.
Agree! And it's sort of worse the post is from the ceo of the app. Either the parents are using the app the wrong way or the ceo is using it the wrong way. Just leave the kids out of this, if you're a grown-up, you have grown-up ways of expressing your self... I'm sad.
Load More Replies...This is complete parent influence.. it's what they hear there parents say..
I agree. Where are the anti-Hillary " kid quotes?" -#americachosewisely
There are some actually. These quotes reflect however, the impression from a children's point of view. There was one silent, rationale candidate and one load, emotional one. (I am not making any point on the political rationale here.) It is clear that the emotional one makes more impression on children...and it is easy to understand that this not necessarily was positive.

The sayings are cute and all but they seem pointed at only one candidate????
what is this? this isnt even funny, im done with you boredpanda...you cant help yourself with anti trump campaign even after elections...he isnt saint but at least he is not evil. every day you fill people with fake stories and propaganda..shame on you..
You don't have to look at it if you don't like it :D
