Those who have siblings will agree—they're some of the best people in the world. They're usually our first best friends, partners in crime, and co-conspirators. Brothers and sisters can have huge impacts on our lives, friendships, even mental and physical health. All in all, it's pretty awesome to have a sibling.
However... the same people who have siblings will agree that the relationship is weird, especially when you're growing up together. All you know is that your sibling is annoying, no matter how much you love them. So when people came across this viral tweet that said "Sibling relationships are weird. I can give you my kidney but I'm not getting you a glass of water," it hit home for many. More than 670k liked the tweet and shared their thoughts on sibling relationships as well. It's not toxic relationship, it's just a way how it works between siblings. Trust me, I have sister and brother for long time ago
But, you have to know it's not allowed to make fun of your siblings in front of others, especially not behind their back
I can share everything, just don't try to get chatty with me and if you do get ready for rude responses.
did anyone have that relationship with their younger siblings when they were little where you hit them and they started crying and you were like “omg don’t tell on me look you can hit me back”
Ahahaha like "Stop." "Stop it!" "STOP" *hits them* *they begin to cry* "Omg I'm sorry I'm sorry sorry pls don't tell mom sorry I'll let you play with my toys stop crying you're ok sorry"

I come from a family of 5 kids. Married to an only child. For 21 years, and he still doesn't get us.

Same. My bro gets really weird mood changes and one moment he will be furious with me and the next second boom. We hang ouy
Load More Replies...My older brother drove me nuts. Loved him but sometimes I would not answer his phone calls because of how he irritated me. Now he's been gone for 3 years and I regret every call I ignored. I miss him like a part of me is gone.
I am sorry for your loss - I can only imagine how difficult that would be to lose a sibling. Thank you for sharing these feelings - it has made an impression on me
Load More Replies...My brother's and I fought all the damn time as kids. Sometimes it was like who can hurt who the most. But now we are so close, we enjoy each other's company and hanging out. Next week we are doing an adventure room together with my mum and her boyfriend. We haven't fought in years but we do tease each other but playfully.
They forgot the part where you never apologize to your siblings. You just nod and move on when ready
Our older cousin would call to talk to our mom, and either me or my older sister would be complaining about the other one, because we'd be fighting like cats and dogs. A few hours later, Katie, our cousin, would call back, because Mom hadn't been home, and she'd say something about us fighting, and Mom would just laugh, because me and my sister would be out to get lunch, or shopping, or just at the mall.
I'd cut off a limb for you. But if you use that limb to touch my stuff I'll kill you!
I fought with my younger brother for years, always punched him on the same spot, the hematoma was visible a loong time... now our relationship is much better :-) . My son and my daughter stick always together, and sometimes I ask myself "what's wrong with them...?"
I can honestly say, though I am a fraternal twin, my twin brother would throw me under the bus every chance he got. Or use me as a weird punching bag when he was around a girl he liked, tried to get my fiance fired because he was given a position at work my twin thought he was better suited for. As for my older brother, he and I will insult each other and it gets bad, my mom will yell at us, even though we are in our 40's to be nice to each other. That is just how some siblings show their love to each other. He even stepped up and said if I or my fiance were to die suddenly, he would adopt our kids to keep them with family. Even though they annoy the c**p out of him. As for my twin, he and I have not talked in 4 years since our dad passed away. I am ok with it, but will do anything in my power if he is hurt.

It's been a bit of a strained relationship growing up, but now my (younger) sister is my best friend. Who else knows how weird our parents can be lol
Interesting what it's like for others. I have a brother and two step sisters. We all have different personalizes and likes and interests from each other so we haven't been close since we were around 4-10. Grew up never talking to each other. I'll be surprised if we keep in contact once our parents are gone. And I like everything the way it is. What's the point of getting close to someone you don't click with?
I will die for them, but if they so much as BREATHE on my art supplies I will murder them.
Me and my sister: Me: Ohh you're doing something baddd Sister: Uhhhh uhhh i'll play a game of dolls???? Me: ok i saw nothing!
And here I am, the weirdo, who has been told by multiple people that slightly raised/snippy voices at each other followed almost immediately by apologies doesn't count as a fight... but that is all my sister and I have ever really done. Also, don't mess with her or I will seek you out and make you suffer. :-)

I have 3 younger sisters. We are all se in age. They are. The best! I love them and their children. I will love their children's children. I would die for any them. When we were younger, we fought like feral cats! My mother told us all our lives, you will have your sisters. They will be your best friends.. now that both our parents are gone, we are so much closer! We are not best friends, but better.. we are sisters! We never leave a conversation without sayingI love you! I thank God that we have each other.
I do not recognise myself in these statements. I treat my siblings like any other humans, except that I am sometime forced to be near them, like during christmas. In which occasions the peace is... Fragile. (I rather like be with people by choice instead)
Why do all these entries have THE WORST grammar ever? Is there a connection between sibling relations and patois?!
When posts are made and it's mostly from white people, nobody says anything. Soooooo
