Collecting evidence that suggests the human race might be degrading, the members of this online community have spotted plenty of evocative signs. Like the one saying, "Sunbathing and barbeques are not allowed in the cemetery. Please show respect." Or another, stating that "We don't spit on your floors. Don't spit on ours."

We managed to get in touch with Ashley, a moderator of the subreddit, and they agreed to have a little chat with us. "It seems like people just like to piss other people off when they know they have an unpopular opinion," the Redditor told Bored Panda. My Neighbors Who Took A Delivery That Didn’t Belong To Them
Might not have been their fault. I once took a delivery they didn’t belong to me. The package of food from a restaurant had no address on it. I called the restaurant who wouldn’t tell me who ordered it nor would they send the delivery people back to deliver it properly. There are tons of townhouses here and I wasn’t going to go door to door knocking. I was alone with 3 small kids. So I let them eat it. Was good sushi. Eventually it seems the person who ordered it got my address from somebody because she came by asking for her food. I felt bad the kids already ate it and was pissed the restaurant or delivery company gave out my address. She was annoyed but I really did what I could to get the food to the right place. I just had no way of knowing who it belonged to. The restaurant actually told me in no uncertain terms not to take it anywhere as it’s a liability to them when this happens to have strangers take a delivery of food then redeliver it.
I can totally understand the restaurant not telling you who it was actually for, but they definitely should have sent someone back to correct their mistake

Blame the delivery service, not your neighbor. Your neighbor is under no obligation to pay for unordered deliveries. In the US, FTC rules allow recipients of an unordered delivery to keep the item as a gift, and be under no legal obligation to report the error. The food was his to consume. The restaurant ought to have made you a new order for free.
All theft is horrible. That feeling of helplessness that comes when you realize your safe place, your nice neighbors etc, isn’t so safe, they are not so nice,,it’s a horrible feeling of betrayal and trust. I have taken reports from waaaaay to many victims to not feel the impacts.
This is not theft. The delivery driver delivered the food to the wrong address. If this happened in the US, the neighbor is under no obligation to report the mistake and is entitled by law to keep the delivery as a gift. The seller cannot ask for payment for unordered items. If anything, the seller can pursue the delivery service for reimbursement.

Also possible it was let outside of their door and picked up by someone passing by. This has happened in my complex with grocery and food deliveries.
Yeah, I made an Instacart order one morning and soon a young man knocked on my door and handed me a couple of bags. Took them inside and discovered it was not the groceries I ordered, but he had left already. Contacted Instacart. Of course they couldn't come get them because *Covid* so I got someone's cabbage and meat and other goodies, and then my own groceries showed up.
The UPS driver insisted on delivering my pet products to the house down the road where I used to live and nothing I did would make him change. It didn't bother Petco that they had to replace all the items at their expense every month. The people who lived in the first floor had 7 cats and were happy to get free food and litter delivered to their door and didn't care that they were stealing. I painted the house numbers on the buildings when the landlord stalled on it and they called him to complain that I had "vandalized" their building (with the house number). My boyfriend at the time saw my packages on their doorstep before they got them and brought them over to my house: they called the landlord and complained that he "had taken things from their house." ( Yes, MY things.) I complained to the shipping company and to Petco about the delivery guy doing this and they both washed their hands of it. Finally, I switched to Chewy.com, which uses a different shipping carrier, and never had another problem with it.

In the bathroom of our emergency/off hours pediatric clinic there is a sign apologizing they have no toilet paper holder because they kept getting stolen. The only people (aside from medical staff) who go there are parents with very sick kids. Who TF steals a toilet paper holder???

One of my properties is a condo in a really nice building, in the stairwell they had to put up a sign saying "no peeing" I guess someone was urinating in the stairwell. I can't imagine anyone in that building doing that.

I used to work in retail in the UK - getting money from socks and "other" places was a semi regular occurrence. I also saw a sign outside a massage parlor that tells people to stop asking for happy endings. Yes, some of the pics are obviously from the US but there's barely a single one that I couldn't imagine in the UK.
