Check these images out and see for yourself. You will eventually realize that these are merely well-timed and taken at the perfect angle, but at first glance, you may feel like your eyes are playing tricks on you.

Four planets in our solar system have rings -- Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, but Saturn's are by far the most impressive.

If at one point you thought you saw the face of Jesus Christ on your breakfast toast, don’t worry, you’re not going crazy. You’re likely experiencing a case of pareidolia.

Live Science defines this as a brain phenomenon in which you may see or even hear something significant in a random image or pattern. In most cases, however, people often see human faces in inanimate objects.

Now, for the question of “Why?” Experts have different theories and responses to this. According to Harvard Medical School professor Dr. Nouchine Hadjukhani, we humans could recognize faces from the moment we were born.

"If you take a baby just after a few minutes of life, he will direct his attention toward something that has the general features of a face versus something that has the same elements but in a random order," Dr. Hadjikhani told the BBC in an interview.

For University College London neuroscientist Sophie Scott, pareidolia can also be a result of our own expectations. In the same BBC interview, she also used the "Jesus face" in the toast example, stating that a person is likely to interpret based on preconceived notions rather than what is actually in front of them. And this is where pareidolia can be powerful for people who believe in miracles.

“We really want to see things like faces, we really want to hear things like voices, and our perceptual system will set out to do that,” she said.

Another interesting aspect of pareidolia is that it also involves emotions beyond the visual. As explained in a 2020 study published in the Psychological Science journal, it enables us not only to see faces but also to sense a personality.

As an example, the authors of the study used a house window that may make you feel as though a pair of eyes is watching you. It’s also why you may see a smiling face on a capsicum.

Honestly, it's pretty close. I once dropped a crucible of brass in the garage (A little tiny one, about the size of can). After letting it cool so I could pick up the graphite chunks, the remaining metal looked roughly like that tree, though obviously with no trunk and more yellow. Still keep the metal 'plate' around as a reminder of why we always check the condition of the graphite lining before heating it up and attempting to pick it up with tongs.

This tree is likely a Bald Cypress, known for its distinctive "knees" which are root projections that grow above the ground, particularly in wet or swampy conditions. The "knees" are thought to help the tree with oxygen intake in waterlogged soil and provide stability. These trees are native to the southeastern United States and are known for their longevity, with some living over 1,000 years.

I'll never have one of those in my house again after I sliced off a piece of my thumb last year. It was only skin, but apparently there's an artery in your thumb and I hit it. I probably lost a pint of blood and finally took myself to the urgent care center where the doctor spent about 45 minutes bandaging it whole series of steps that she said she could not trust to a nurse because of how bad the cup was. It took almost a month to completely scab over, several more months before it looked like skin again, and to this day there's no fingerprint on that part of the thumb and it hurts if I press on it too hard.

I think that's AI and it's definitely wrong. That's not a tail, it's a white pattern on the animal's chest (fairly sure it's also a dog and not a cat). It also says the ivy "tree" is a human side profile, and the tree burned by wildfire was carved by insects, sooo I wouldn't rely on it.

I just checked the source and it is definitely ivy on a telephone pole. If you really zoom in you can see that there are no roots and there are ivy branches climbing up the pole. Plus, this is most likely winter and no deciduous tree would be in full leaf.

That's bittersweet and it's incredibly invasive. Once established on a tree, even cutting their roots won't k**l them. They can suck nutrients directly from tree trunk.

I've had three kidney stones, #1 was 7mm, they had to go in, break it up, and remove the bits. Numbers 2 and 3 were 5mm and 3mm, and I passed those. The pain level was incredibly high, childbirth was less painful than passing kidney stones. I'm not kidding even a little bit. Pro Medical Tip: Drinking lemon water or lemonade can help dissolve stones.
