Graffiti came into existence in the 70’s in New York when some young people began to leave their marks on the walls of the city.

These artistic expressions have evolved with techniques and designs since then. The art of graphite is now a form of artistic expression in public spaces.

Spanish artist AL Crego has had an incredible idea. In this very cool project he breathes movement into still graffiti murals to create fantastic animations.

First he creates street graffiti art photography. Then takes the images back to his studio and changes them digitally by adding movement in the pictures in clever and subtle ways. His finished graffiti art gifs produce amazing visual experiences such as a large character turning on and off a light or the windows of a building sliding sideways.
