For those of you unaware, Snapchat has rolled out yet another new feature that is sure to disturb relationships and friend circles for years to come. It's called Snap Maps, and it's basically a way to track your contacts' movements and locations at all times. Yeah, people are already using it to ruin each other's lives.

This Snapchat update uses your phone's GPS to pinpoint where you are, much like any mapping app, as well as where your friends are. A 'bitmoji' represents everyone using the Snapchat map; a small avatar meant to resemble them. The bitmoji move with you, and even jump into cars of their own when you're driving. Users can, therefore, see where events are happening, where people are gathering, and where their significant others are actually hanging out. Police in the UK and New Zealand have actually issued warnings to parents to disable the Snapchat chat maps function on their children's phones, fearing that it could lead to predatory activity. Luckily, anyone can disappear from Snap Maps with the touch of a button, and can even enter 'ghost mode,' in which you can see others on the map, but they can't see you.
