These School Lunches Around The World Left People Divided

Are those actual plates? In the US, we are a few years away from them just serving the food on the table directly

Damn that a lot compared the last few I've seen. Why can't American treat kids better it such b******t

What’s with all the good looking free lunch?

wow

Man i need to move to south korea

Carb and sugar overload. Explains a lot 😒😏

Love it! And no less important is that the tray is not plastic.

I like how NYC and California have very different takes on children nutrition

That's a $70 meal where I live

Looks really good actually

not where i live (maryland usa), that actually looks nutritious

The South Koreans are whipping our butts on the school lunch thing.

I think this is the best school lunch from the US I've seen in this list so far

are you in france? loving the eclair

8/10

ERMERGERD IT'S NOT FAIR

A singular apple slice

I love my school lunch <3 (south Korea)

International school food puts US food to shame by such a large amount its not even funny

This one looks pitiful! Especially since it's being served to adults who are serving our country!

FANCY!

It's been 40 yrs since I had a school lunch but I'm tickled to see the sponge cake and custard hasn't changed 😀

Fruit!!!

They take pride in the plating and appearance. Ours got slapped on the tray with as much precision as a blind archer.

That is not what Australians do. I am Australian and have never seen a school lunch like that

What is Banchan? (I'm stupid, must be the school lunch my school serves)

real silverware

It is certainly artfully displayed and photographed.

WOAH, YOU GET A LOT OF RICE!!

Looks like South Korea really does have the best school lunches on this list. Good work South Korea!

This is ultra depressing compared to Asian lunches

There is a significant lack of colour. Vegetables and fruit provide colour. This is a deep fried mess with some even messier mash and some corn for good measure.

This explains a lot.

Wow the noodles are like gonna be fresh fresh.

Where?

I live in the mid north ish part of the country, the lunches are actually really good, we get to pick from 3 meals (public middle school)

This looks like pizza with pet kibbles on it O.o

ARE YOU KIDDING ME YOU GET A WHOLE PACKET OF GUMMIES ALL TO YOUR SELF??? I'M COMING FOR THIS SCHOOL

From the original post: We ate some christmas food today on our school and our lunch-lady really went all in for the kids. (and us teachers) There was also ofc meatballs, sausages and stuff that is common for Swedish christmas food. But this table just looked so beautiful, I wanted to share it. We really have the best lunch-lady I've ever come across.

What is that with the carrots?

But why does the pizza look so empty?

Stop with all the plastic already

YES! thats the kinda stuff i have to eat every day (maryland too)

They get a whole pizza?!?

This is sad mozzarella sticks and an apple

6/10

Ah, disappointment, the great meal of all

What is that?? Ick! Oh, wait. I see ketchup, so at least a "vegetable" was included. 🙄

That looks like someone else ate it before you

no way really

*cough* USA *cough*

yuck

def not a school, unless you're locking them up in solitary

What drug is that cow on?

Well looks interesting

What's wrong with the sausage? It looks dead. All pre-packaged, including the peaches ... in syrup. Too much sugar and salt.

2 pieces of fruit. In you face Korea. 😉

bruh💀

Crisps? Why is that considered acceptable food for kids? My kid eats crisps but not as part of a meal.

Is that a bag of milk?

i have the same milk at school

What is it???

All the American lunches look like prison food.

What is with fat free milk,i have never tried it ,is it good

What. Is it.
