120 Artists Rock The Rockland Arts Festival
Art opens our hearts and minds and shows us what could be possible. Join us for the most anticipated arts event of the winter!
The Rockland Arts Festival (January 27 – February 10) is a two week celebration of the outstanding artistic creativity and diversity which thrives in the tri-state area. A wide variety of contemporary and traditional art forms including the visual arts, dance, music, film, theater, literature and more are honored in 12 free virtual arts events on the Rockland Arts Festival website and one very special free in-person arts celebration.
The 12 free live virtual events – which will be live streamed on the festival’s YouTube and Facebook outlets – include art demonstrations, a curators’ talk, independent films, arts enrichment programs and writers’ workshops, all of which feature local luminaries from the fields of art, entertainment and literature. Visitors to the festival’s website can also view the work of over 120 outstanding local visual artists and cast a vote for their favorites in the People’s Choice Awards.
The festival strives to make the arts accessible for all and the in-person arts celebration on February 5th at the Palisades Center in West Nyack, New York will feature a full program of artistic works, bringing together the best local artists and performers in an informal and fun environment suitable for all ages. Guests are encouraged to interact with the participating artists; to explore what it means to be creative and to experience a wide spectrum of artistic perspectives. The Rockland Arts Festival is an opportunity for the community to enjoy and support this indispensable part of our collective culture.
The Rockland Arts Festival has been made possible due to the enthusiastic efforts of the coordinators, Lisa D’Amico, Michael Craft, Aviva Sakolsky and Debbie Silberberg. For information please visit, www.rocklandartsfestival.org.
