26 Comics By A Medical Student Who Never Had The Guts To Become A Comic Artist, But Finally Dared To
I've wanted to draw comics for a while now but never really had the guts to, up until recently. Here are some I made in the last couple of weeks. The style is a little inconsistent as I'm still trying to find what looks best.
I'm a medical student, studying to become a doctor in Rotterdam, with dreams of becoming a cardiologist. Through medicine I have learned that, though the physical body is very important, mental well-being is also paramount when it comes to being a happy and healthy person. Though I may not be able to help you with the physical aspect for now, I am able to help with the mental side. Laughter and smiling flood the body and brain with happy chemicals and overall lift your mood, make you feel more energized and reduce stress. Through my comics, I hope to be able to bring a beautiful wide grin to your face and, at least momentarily, let you forget about your worries.
I have always loved doing art in my free time, I was drawing before I knew how to walk, and probably even talk- though they probably didn't look like much at the time. When I was 12 I got my very first drawing tablet, I was bouncing off the walls with pure joy and excitement! I spent countless late nights practicing and getting to know the digital world of art. I explored realism as well as abstract but found that I was most happy making comics about daily life. I try and put annoying nuisances most of us have to deal with on a semi-daily basis into a humor spotlight through my drawings.
I hope you like them!

On a very different note why is it belt loops are just the right height to catch on the latch on the door frame? Feels like you have been hooked on a fishing rod when you try and walk through a door and suddenly get grabbed by the waist!
Reminds me of the time my son tore his trousers, basically from the front waistband to the back, while over enthusiastically lunging at a bowling alley! Oh dear!
It helps for pulling the pants up? Obviously it’s used for a belt but it helps with pulling your pants up too.
Load More Replies...The drafted things ripped right off! They were my favourites too!😢
It's useless. 😂 Tell a cat to not do something and/or prevent them from doing it, and they will most certainly do it.
LOL that is me and my computer! All of the mugs are all over my desk as we speak hahaha.
studied for a huge exam during our honeymoon.. . 10 days in Egypt, i studied a few hours every day in the lobby, the only room with wifi.. Second educational path sucks sometimes. But it was a great time.
My teacher loves spiders though they do us a favor by getting rid of other pesky bugs too
Just generally trying to explain what you do for a job to anyone who doesn't work that profession. And then they think they got it but you can tell they definitely did not
I can down a 24oz Arabica “Ultra Caffeine” and feel pretty good......after a 10min nap....
Circle, cone, heart, kidney, nephron, cylinder... Wait there's math in this? S**t...
This one does not suck so much. Memes are mostly same copy/paste s**t but I like this original style. And MD student part is visible in body shapes - characters have muscles, proportions, joints and skeletons.
I agree, the understanding of the human body really comes through in the way the bodies are drawn!

why are her hands black in most of the comics? did she burn them on something?
These are really well done! I'm glad you got a chance to make them.
Loved these, you definitly have talent for it, please continue and give us more! <3
GREAT JOB! Keep on drawing and as someone who loves comics, I thoroughly enjoyed these.
I've rarely seen such cool (and true) cartoons. Thank you for sharing them :)
