Dennis Goris is a designer, writer, and cartoonist who creates one-panel comics that deliver the important topics worldwide that most of us might’ve had the chance to get familiar with. Of course, his comics are not only for those who are interested to see the news of today’s world portrayed in humorous ways, no, his comics are also for those who would just like a good laugh, as Dennis also makes comics relating to our simple everyday lives.
Bored Panda reached out to Dennis to find out a little bit more.
"I do a daily commentary on whatever is on my mind. Often it’s the news—especially during covid. Sometimes it’s seasonal — like holidays or Halloween. Other times it’s just an observation of the silliness I see in things.
Sometimes I have a clear idea for a message at the start. Sometimes I just start drawing, and a message will emerge."

Death and illness related to COVID are unlikely to influence Republican voter turn out. COVID was the 3rd leading cause of death in the US (345k), behind heart disease and cancer. However, 2020 (3.4M deaths) saw an increase of over 500,000 deaths from 2019 (2.9M deaths). Republicans are dying at a higher rate, but not much higher (0.04 per 100,000 inhabitants). The abolition of the limited liability corporation would be a massive upgrade to our lives: no one should lose the shirt off their back or even their home if their business fails, but the yacht, the golf course, the second house, why should creditors not have that money back. Why not have liquidators make judgements - was the business owner was unlucky, or foolish or reckless or criminal?

They dont have a choice. Children are being separated at the U.S.-Mexico border as a direct result of policy changes by the Trump administration, namely a “zero tolerance” policy that requires criminal prosecution for those who enter the United States unlawfully, and discouraging the practice of releasing migrants apprehended at the border while their immigration cases are pending – a practice the Trump administration calls “catch and release.” Is family separation required by law? I don't agree with a lot of what Ryan says. I disagree more with the people who say he should be banned. Look at the cartoon with the chalkboard that says, "Racism History." It is just above this one as of right now. People have the right to make statements that go against the site norm. He does not incite violence, he is not making threats. He is just stating some unpopular opinions. ---------- I came back up to edit this. Ryan is now getting slammed for comments that are no big deal. I suspect that if anyone else had said the same things, they might have gotten a few downvotes, or comments, but not to this level of vitriol. Some of the comments being downvoted and covered aren't even particularly controversial. Let the downvotes begin. ------------ FYI, I do not know Ryan. Never met him, never talked to him. I just think that some people are not being entirely fair.

I learned a watered down version when I was in elementary school in TX around 1988 or so. We moved to Alabama in 1990 and no one had heard of it there. I did get to learn about "States' Rights," though. smh
