Life can be deeply dystopian—brutal, nasty, cold, unfair, and harsh. Even if you’re aware that negativity bias makes you focus more on negative than positive news, looking at the current state of the world can feel overwhelming and make you cynical. You wonder where things started going wrong, and how we ended up in this creek with no paddle.

To be fair: She failed the (full) bar exam just once as of yet. The one she failed the first few attempts was the "baby bar", which is required in California for students who did not attend a law school full time. And she seems to not have given up on becoming a lawyer. Don't get me wrong: I don't really like her, better: care about her very much, but there is enough fake news around, no need to add to it, even if it concerns people like her who probably couldn't care less because of their money. 😐

I mean it's simple maths. Men are 50% of the USA workforce. 60% (so 30% total) are white. 75% of them (so 22% total) are able bodied. 90% of them (so 20% total) are cishet. DEI policies still don't result in 20% of population being 20% of the hired paid employees, which means we still hire them mostly because they're white cis her able-bodied men, not because of their qualifications.

I'm going to say the dreaded 'this should be higher' because Chrome actually did that, Google is offloading its AI workload on personal computers and what the AI does in there is anybody's guess. Don't use the browser, and stay the f away from the operating system.

The comparison lacks a lot, the "Cinco de Mayo" celebrates the mexican army's victory over the French Empire while 9/11 was a terrorist attack on civilians. Using the memorial day of a victory of a foreign nation over another foreign nation for drinking can be seen as tasteless in the sense of cultural appropiation but is harmless, celebrating a terrorist attack with over 3.000 victims directly and many more as result years later paints you as an outright arsehole that doesn't deserve sympathy. That's like saying celebrating the norwegian "Constitution Day" (Today, 17.05) is the same as having a celebration party for the 7th October. (And as german I say, if you want to have a party on the 3rd October and base it on our "Unification Day" go ahead, cool that it gets recognized)

Thats not an arguement any Pro-Israel people make. Its if Israel doesn't have a right to exist, than neither does Lebanon (1943), Syria (1946) , Jordan (1946), Pakistan (1947), etc. All National identity based states, created in the 20th Century by European Powers, through carving up larger colonial holdings, and all conraversal with some minority groups complaining about how it was divided up (Druze in Syria and Lebanon, Kurds in Syria, Jordan the old clans vs the Arabian Clans, Pakistan the millions of Hindus expelled, etc)
