This Woman Tries To Bring Stability Into Her Life By Creating A Quarantine Routine, People Follow Her Example
It seems like these days, the whole world is worrying about the uncertainty brought to us by the pandemic. It’s not hard to notice how the crisis is affecting the mental health of many of us. Quarantine is not helping with that, either. Being forced to stay inside, away from our friends and even family members with our everyday routines completely changed, the current condition of the situation starts to take a toll on many of us. While some of us cope better than others, it’s always nice to see people sharing what has helped them in hopes of providing some guidance for those who are struggling. Recently, Twitter user @plntbasedcutie went viral for sharing a simple solution that helps her to cope—making a quarantine-inspired daily routine.
Recently, a twitter user shared her Quarantine Routine that keeps her structured and stable during the time of crisis

Her list of daily activities, titled Quarantine Routine, received over half a million likes and over 80k retweets. Even though @plntbasedcutie has a tougher time keeping herself occupied, since both her school and her work are shut down, she’s using the time to her own advantage. The list includes hobbies, self-care activities, chores, and, of course, fun things to do.

However, she understands that not everyone who reads her list is capable of being productive during a time like this, so she advises taking it easy, relaxing, and not feeling guilty about it.Clearly, people were inspired by her simple, yet smart way to stay productive, so some of them even decided to follow her example. People have started sharing their own Quaroutines with varying degrees of difficulty. Some created elaborate lists, while others decided to show the most realistic representations of their life by enumerating sleeping as their only task.
People responded by sharing their own serious and relaxed Quaroutines

Share on FacebookSo far my routine is to pace, cry, and worry myself sick over my dad who's on a ventilator in "isolation ICU" about an hour and a half away with bacterial pneumonia and a new-found tumor affecting one lung. I'm terrified he's going to pass away. He's my last parent and I'm immunocompromised with COPD/chronic bronchitis so I have to self-isolate instead of risking driving that far and catching/carrying in something at his hospital. This is hell for me - rest, much less sleep, is naught but a dream. This stress, fear, and desperation is horrible, so there's no chance for a schedule to even take form.
I am so sorry to hear this. You do whatever you have to do to make it through. I will be keeping you in my prayers. I'm sending you a hug.
Load More Replies...Wtf? Is that supposed to be a "hard time" in quarantine? I mean, this is my schedule: 7:30 wake up. 9:00-17:30 home office. 23:30 go to sleep. Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in between, go for a run, shower. Yes, home office does not include meditating and doing nothing. It includes working from home.
Kids need routine even more than grownups do. I wouldn't stick to any sort of rigid routine if it weren't for my 4 year old. But she needs it and she needs to stay sane.

Yeah, I wouldn't make too much fun of her. This may go on for weeks and if your daily routine is "Stay on the couch all day and do nothing and veg out", you'll melt down into depression really fast. This is not a long weekend and it's not even a week-long vacation.
Load More Replies...My pandemic protocol is to try to make sure my car and house stay clean of the virus. When I have to go out I keep a pair of cloth gloves in the car. As soon as I get out of the car I put them on and do my shopping or whatever. When I get back into the car I take off the gloves and use some hand sanitizer. When I get home I unpack anything I need to and then wash my hands thoroughly. I use lotion on my hands so they don't gt dry and cracked.
Is this really quarantine if she goes outside? Also, half hour reading is not reading. This is a fact.
06.30 - wake up (due to dog licking nose), walk dog 07.00 - coffee, breakfast (share with dog), check socials 08.00 - start computer, work 09.00 - quick walk with dog 09.15 - work (dog at feet) 10.30 - dogwalker comes for dog, i keep working 14.30 - yay dog is back! give snack, back to work 17.30 - logg off, go walk with dog, eat. Dog eats too 22.00 - sleep time (dog also) (the cat would like to inform you all that he is not deprived of attention, he gets lots of pets and snacks and food too)
A dog is really the best pet at times like this. Unlike a cat, you have to actually get up and go outside with a dog. The cat, you just stand at the door waiting for it to make up and the immediately change its mind

my family and i are doing really well so far, because we already are at home all the time except for doctor appointments and groceries. the only real difference is my dad's not going out for the latter as often, and we're sterilizing anything that comes in from outside. we already eat whenever, sleep whenever (my mom and i can both sleep anywhere from 8-22 hours), be on the computer all the rest of the time. i can't imagine how people used to routines and schedules are coping, but this post seems like it's got some good starting points!
Whenever im not on a schedule with things I absolutely have to do, my body reverts to its natural 8am to 5pm sleep schedule. The rest of the time I try to talk myself into working out so I can lose that socially distanced 20.
2:AM wake up 2:30 AM Out the Door 3:30 AM Work Time! 'Cause COFFEE is Essential! 1:30 PM End of Shift 2:30 PM - 5:PM Home, Let the pets out, dinner, Shower 5:30 PM Bed Time! 7:30 PM Let pets in, settled for bed 8:PM Back to bed 2:AM Rinse and Repeat
Lol im not confused about it that was supposed to be a thumbs up emoji
