X-Presion, a cutting-edge (no pun intended) hair research and development company in Madrid, has pioneered an interesting new pixelated hair coloring technique that has the internet abuzz. They call it #xpresionpixel.
It’s not yet clear how this marriage of digital art with real-world hair styling holds up once you leave the salon, but plenty of people have already tried it out. What do you think of this new style?
Read on for X-Presion’s answers to Bored Panda’s questions about their work!

Jorge Cancer, a press rep for X-Presion, told Bored Panda that the style “was created by mistake. We were in Minneapolis preparing a big show for 4500 people and then, with one of the models, I got an effect in her hair that I didn’t expect. After that, we started to study and think until we got the trend as it is now” (Image credits: laialae)
He said that the style “is really easy to maintain. When your hair grows, your pixels will be lower but still look great. And if you want to retouch and keep the existing ones, you just need to make a few more pixels closer to the roots. Easy!” (Image credits: Revlon)
“Its something really easy to do, but you must go to a hairstylist who has been to the X-presion Creative Education Seminars. You need to learn a few rules, otherwise it could be a big mess” (Image credits: xpresioncreativos)

Share on FacebookI think it'd look good on some people and I think it's just another fad that will soon fade away.
yeah but the 2010's needs at least something to define it lol
Load More Replies...It doesn't even look that great (considering the desired effect) on straight hair.
Load More Replies...I think it would look like a complete mess and nothing special unless you are sitting there and not moving after having your hair set.
As a professional, this looks like an accident. And unless you can keep the hair from moving it's going to look like a blotch
I have used numerous different products of henna by different brands, and The Henna Guys is truly the most real. It is a very premium hair dyeing product with rich color, safety and habituation. I use this hair henna-based hair dye just once in a month and from past few months my hair is considerably better and durable. I am extremely pleased with http://www.thehennaguys.com/ hair dye. You must try it too!!
Just another stupid OVER PRICED HAIR DO. Just another was for society to bank on VANITY. I bet if it came w/Botox...Goldmine!!!
it's a cool idea, it also reminds me of the ripples done with highlights
I think that it just looks like you messed up on the color. To intentionally put lines on the hair is ugly. When it fades it will look bad.
The violet chevron looks nice, however many of the others just look like lazy color brush slaps, they do not appeal to me at all.
Some look cool, the violet "chevron", others look as though someone just slapped the color brush randomly, and those do not appeal to me .
Most of these pictures look really photoshopped. Plus I can't see any pictures of it on their website which seems suspicious!
yes sheep follow all the fads, over hype it till dime a dozen people think it's "cool"
Be great for an inspiring photo shoot or hair show. But not practical for any one who ever steps outside. The look would blow with a little
Definitely points for creativity but I can see these being done badly & people looking like they have bad hair.
Let's see it done on people with curly hair, or people like me, who have frizzy hair.
