This time is the time of Game of Thrones, as hundreds of tweets, memes, and excited fans' reactions show. One simply cannot deny the global influence the Thrones phenomenon has, especially with the final season of the HBO series is rolling out every weekend. And while perhaps the fandom that dominates the social media sites after every Sunday might seem annoying to some, there is only one thing more irritating than someone being overtly passionate about something they like. It's the people who are overtly proud of something they dislike.
As hundreds of posts about Game of Thrones roll out daily in every corner of social media, more and more people boast about not watching the popular show in the comments. Perhaps thinking that it makes them special, those people wear that fact like a badge of honor. And while there are some who approve of their message, the TV series fans find it more or less irritating. I don't get this one. Whenever someone asks if I watch GOT, I say no. They then get defensive and I really don't understand why. I do not care what tv shows give you pleasure. I am just happy you are happy. Weird.

I read them and watched most of the episodes (I haven't seen the last 2 seasons) and honestly I don't think it's for everyone. I have friends who just don't do the magic, dragon, mid-evil thing and ya know what.....it's ok I don't understand this whole "You have to do something because I do it" thing that we are so obsessed with as a society right now. The best part about people is that they are all different.

Most people have never watched a single episode of Game of Thrones. (Even only 14 million people out of 320 Americans watched the finale.) You can imagine how sick we are of you. I don't watch it is probably most people's polite way of saying, "For the love of God, shut the hell up about that stupid TV show!!!!"

Looks like we're reaching a society where everyone's supposed to be taking sides. If you're not Pro-GoT you must be against it. And it's annoying as hell. There are things where I would die for, but there are also things that are so insignificant that it's not even worth thinking about. Watching tv-series is one of them.
