I personally can't understand people choosing to walk away from their kids. My kids are my world.
i understand where you're coming from, but not everyone is cut out to be a parent. i'm glad when those who know they don't want their kids, won't be good parents, don't want to care and provide etc. can recognise and acknowledge it and give the kid up to the other parent, for adoption or whatever. it saves the kid from a lifetime of trauma, heartbreak, feeling unwanted/worthless - instead they get loving parent(s) who want them. these angels are free of a mother that doesn't want them, raised in love, acceptance, nurturing, happiness, security. i wish society didn't force parenthood and shame ppl who don't want to partake, inferring it as bad and malicious when it's actually a kindness, beneficial for everyone involved. instead, facilitating such decisions so all kids get the great upbringing and loving home they deserve. far better than the pain and guilt forced on parent and child. it's a win-win situation

The moderator said that although he wasn’t there when the sub was created back in 2008 (which is pretty impressive by Reddit’s standards), he has been along for “the ride for a while at this point.”
“When I joined, there weren't really any automated processes running on that subreddit, so we had to deal with fights and brigades manually,” N8theGr8 recounted. And in this difficult time, the Happy community on Reddit which is home to 475k members seems to be as relevant as ever. “I think it's good to be able to just have a spot where you can unwind to celebrate and focus on small victories and uplifting positive content,” he added.
The moderator said that the community “certainly has new people joining every day, and it's always nice to find someone who is happy to be able to have a small sanctuary of positivity.” This reflects in the subreddit’s description too: “Too many depressing things on the main page, so post about what makes you warm and fuzzy inside!”

Just today I met a girl who was non verbal. She used a talker thing to say what she wanted. After frustration from both of us and lots of a robotic voice saying “cherry dog cherry dog cherry dog outside” I figured out what she wanted, also, she’s smart too! We have decent conversations and I’m so proud of her and myself for figuring out a way to communicate
