My Watercolor Birds Capture The Vibrant Spirit Of Nature

My latest watercolor series captures the vibrant colors of various tropical and domestic birds. The three roosters were painted to celebrate the 2017 Chinese Year of the Rooster. Each represents one of the key elements of the Chinese Zodiac: Red (Fire Rooster), Blue (Water Rooster) and Green (Wood Rooster).

The turkeys were painted to celebrate the symbol of our Canadian Thanksgiving holiday. The bluejays in a maple tree are dedicated to my home town’s hockey and baseball team mascots (Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays). And the blue cockatoo is simply my favorite bird!
