My Rare Vintage Dream Car.
90% of my shopping is done at thrift stores so I could post lots, but this is by far my best.
In 1991 I went to a car show and fell in love with the Volkswagen Type3 Fastback. 1969 is the only year they made an automatic in the original body style and in 2020 I found one just a few hours from my home. 100% drivable, can use some cosmetic repairs, very little rust for the age, solid pan and under budget. This is Gertrude, named for her original owner, I love her and she lives in my tiny garage where I totally wing it on making her more perfect.

For a 60 year old car, that looks to be in pretty dang good shape. Congrats on finding her and may parts for repairs be always available but never needed.
My dream car is a VW as well! ;) And I currently drive an ‘01 VW Eurovan!
