Many people think of millennials as spoiled kids who were born into privilege and have every opportunity handed to them on a plate, but as you can see from these perceptive and thought-provoking comics by Karina Farek for CollegeHumor, that's simply not the case. The truth is that many millennials face just as many problems as the rest of us, from struggling to find employment in an increasingly competitive job market to trying to earn enough money to pay the rent each month. Do these comics resonate with you? Then let us know in the comments below!

With the exception of the lobster, the right panel could also just say, "I need this." How are you supposed to apply for jobs and schedule interviews if you don't have access to the internet at the very least. Or seriously, try telling a potential employer that you don't have a phone. Also, cash? Yea. For rent/mortgage payments, student loans, etc.

I feel like both of these depict millennials. I mean it's not even necessarily that I DESERVE them, it's that in today's society, it is almost impossible to live without money, computers, and phones (and lobsters too, why not haha). So yeah, to an extent, I feel like I should deserve them if society will punish me for not having them.

she thinks she wants a living wage but she actually wants a lavish lifestyle. try this honey... get a roommate, cheaper phone, no cable, turn the thermostat down and stop eating out. also your designer clothes and jewelry are luxury items.

Obviously the person who drew this hasn't hired many millennials.

Can you maybe just get get an education or learn a trade in a field that actually demands higher pay?

Well, maybe in your country, education is "free", but in Korea, mine costed more than 3,000,000 KRW per semester, now multiply this by 8. Guess why I didn't go for a Master degree. There's millions of youth like me, or in a worse situation even, around the "modernised civilised world". So, please, don't combine the word "just" with things such as "get an education", "get a job", "get a life" and all these things needing too many social requirements that are not entirely something the individual can control.

I hate to say this but the picture on the left is a good majority of what younger people are like today. Mommy and Daddy pay for everything so they can go to college. Here's a brand new car for you sweetheart, you can live here rent free, let me pay your car insurance because you need to study. I have had a job since I was 15. I live on my own, I pay for my own car/insurance and apartment, and I have a stable job. Plus starting school soon.. Not everyone is that picture up there but a good majority.

To my mind the left side is looking for special treatment; the right is just looking to be treated like a human and not persecuted
