I don't know why would their stunts " instantly make the actors less cool ". I mean, you're talking about people who accepted to apply to a certain job, took time of their lives to be part of something great... not be make the actors " Less Cool ". If it was the other way around, the Actors were the Stunts, and vice-versa, would you say the same thing? Aren't they actors as well? Just saying :V .

Often times actors want to do their own stunts, especially when it's something as easy as leaping over a short gap between buildings, but the studio won't let them for liability reasons. Wrestlers are pretty much stunt men to begin with, and I'm pretty sure Dave Bautista could do literally any stunt that's asked of him if he was allowed to.
While that may be true, an injury would not just potentially hurt him. It could potentially halt or stop production of the film, since his character is important to the story. It's not that stunt actors aren't valued, and it's not that some actors cannot potentially do their own stunts. It's just not a practical choice to let actors do their stunts. Because their faces and voices aren't used on screen, a stunt actor can be exchanged with little disruption in production (someone else taking their place while they heal from an injury). On the other hand, it's very hard to deal with the loss of the actor playing a character's face and voice.

Fun fact! On the set of age of ultron, Scarlett and her stunt doubles looked so much alike that Chris Evans couldn't tell them apart. They called it 'How Long Will It Take Chris To Realize That I'm Not Scarlett." The record was 12 minutes! 😀

It would have been good to point out the stunt doubles as I am really not interested enough in these actors to recognise them. Are the doubles the better looking ones? I honestly don't know.
You could look up the actors elsewhere online. As for "better looking", well, that's entirely subjective.

Enjoy it while it lasts, within the next 10 years stunt doubles will be replaced with CGI. Another five or ten after that, actors will be replaced too. Once AI is realistic, even voice actors will be unemployed. It's AI cyber turtles all the way down from here on out.
