At 25 Years I Decided To Become A Female And It Was The Best Decision I’ve Ever Made
I’ve never imagined I’d go through the transition. I was 20 when I came out to my best friend and I just remember crying because I felt like it was too late, and the thought of being nonpassable in a small Texas town just wasn’t the route I wanted to take.
Every day kept getting harder, eventually, I took the leap at 25 and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! I never thought I could live my life… I continuously held myself back but I’ve learned anything is possible if you want it enough! I was able to adopt my 3 beautiful nieces and we’re on our way to living out the best life we can!

I don't know for sure how I feel about the whole transgender issue. What I do know, for sure, is when I read and see the love, beauty and caring such as your story, it makes me feel so happy for you! Maybe some things shouldn't be an "issue". Such as "baby steps," one person at a time helps me understand.

I too am on the fence with this "issue" but when I see stories like this and see how happy everyone seems to be at the end of it all, perhaps there really is such a thing as being born into the wrong body. Who knows why? Maybe it's a chemical imbalance or hormone thing. All I do know it is not up to me to judge.

Just curious, why is it that if some don't agree with the LGBT way of life and state their differing point of view is it right away considered hate? Why does everyone HAVE to agree. So if someone has a more conservative view so be it.
From a pragmatic point of view, you don't have to celebrate every LGTB person but being disrespectful of someone's gender is simply not polite. Also from a pragmatic view transgenderism is completely accepted by medical professionals, it's not controversial. There are a lot of misconceptions in the more critical comments that just show a lack of knowledge. The worst are in my opinion people full blown advocating against gender reassignment surgery. That is like advocating against a necessary medical procedure. One that has been in place since decades, shown to be effective.

Anybody who refers to a gender, a sexuality, an ethnic group, or a religion as the 'p**n of the devil' needs to sit down, take a deep breath, and re-evaluate their worldview. Josh, who is really causing trouble in the world? Is it people who know deep down in their hearts that something is wrong with how they came out, who struggle for years those thoughts, and then manage to work up the will to go through the trauma of changing genders only to come out as a much happier and better-adjusted human being? Or is it the people who bash on them and apply nonsensical religious rhetoric to what is ultimately a medical and psychological issue?
