If you need a change of perspective, go on a cross country road trip. If you need to change your life, do it in a pop-up camper. My husband and I and our three children did just this and it was one of the most astounding experiences of our lives.
Nothing in the world can prepare you for exactly how beautiful the US is. A pop-up camper forces you to go off the beaten path, away from the “madding crowd.” It forced us to work hard during our trip – setting it out every night and packing it up every morning so that every moment of time in between was spent in full appreciation of the beauty that it afforded us to see.
At the end of our trip, we ended up selling our house in New Jersey and moving to California – fulfilling a long held dream and a risk we would never have taken prior to this trip. And we haven’t looked back since.
