I am a artist who loves the combination of the female body and moving water. I specialize in figurative subject matter, produced as limited edition prints (photographic ink on paper). I use cameras and software to construct imagery. I’ve made liquid nudes a theme for a series of my artworks.

Each image is a work of fiction, told through visual cues. The subject and I collaborate on the narrative, although the full meaning is not something we communicate verbally.

These four composition are from working with model Ava Moss. I sense something a contrast between innocence and sinisterness in the dark ripples that surround her form. The message is open to interpretation.

Ava Floating (ver i)

Ava floats effortlessly, carefree in an expanse of turquoise and deep azure. The figure is inverted with no solid point of reference in the water. Her form recedes into the texture of the waves as drops of water rain down. The heat of the sun radiating off her skin beckons to us.

Sapphire Stroke

Vaguely erotic, a single figure glides easily through an expanse of gemlike water ranging from sapphire to aquamarine. Deep hues and intense tones create intricate patterns that partly obscure the nude swimmer. Glints of pink accent the highlights on the ripples. The body radiates warm energy as she slips in and out through the surface of the cool water.

Ava Wishes for Summer

Ava wishes for summer to arrive and you might too. Imagine a spring morning, just warm enough for a dip, longing for the warmth of summer. A breeze makes it too cold and the sun peeking through the clouds makes it tolerable again. Just hang on for a short while, summer is coming, and we can do what we want without a care in the world. In this image, summer is always just a few days away.

Ava Backstroke

Ava swims lazily in an expanse of sparkling azure. The water is calm but disturbed by a gentle mist and she appears almost weightless amidst the ripples. A gentle serpentine shape is suggested by the curve of her body. A blackness at the top of the image implies a bottomless abyss. Only her hands, part of an arm, and her face break the surface. Her hair drifts out in reddish-brown spirals.
