I can't be 100% certain without knowing where the pic was taken or other details but I feel fairly confident it's a Fishing Spider(which is a general/common name for several species from the genus Dolomedes). I see them regularly when out fishing and stuff, often perched just like in the pic near the base of trees and their camouflage is quite impressive. They get quite large, but are chill and harmless, I appreciate that they tend to just sit in one place - would much prefer a large Fishing Spider hanging out nearby than a smaller 'surprise' spider take off running anywhere near me lol

I used to think the pure white spiders I find in my garden were badly camouflaged, then one day, purely by chance, I spotted one sitting in the middle of a white flower with it's front legs open, waiting, just waiting.

For some crazy reason this reminds me of the movie "When A Stranger Calls Back" an excellent thriller where a babysitter is being stalked and gaslighted by someone. It has a very interesting ending, not your typical stalker. I've seen all three movies in the series and they are all very good.

Indeed it is, Bogotá to be exact. That's my hometown, so I can tell almost right away when a picture was taken there. Left ten years ago but those mountains and that misty atmosphere when it rains are a sight you can never forget.

It's pedipalps/feeler/grabbers are so long on the Pink Toe that it looks like it has 10 legs to me at times, with some of them, this one being one of those times. It looks like it has too many legs.

It looks like a girl, taller than the guy closest to the elevator, and she is facing straight out of the elevator, not sideways. She has long dark hair that is hanging over her chest from both sides and almost reaches her waist. You can see her perfectly defined face. She looks like she's wearing a hospital gown that is kinda big on her.

I don't get it. Is that guy in back really supposed to be there? My eyes are seriously playing tricks in that case, I just see a bad Photoshop. Why is he so TINY compared to the motor behind him? Perspective wise the boat doesn't seem very big for him to be SO far back that he'd be child sized. Or maybe I'm just crazy and falling for the illusion.

After some tedious cutting and pasting and rotating in a photo editing program, I have come to the conclusion that either the slice was slightly too wide at the crust to fit the other way, or I am really bad at cutting around a slice of pizza.

He's wearing no PPE, save the welders helmet and the hard hat. When you weld, typically you should have on special protective overwear, this thick coat and a pair of chaps/pants. Helps the flying metal not burn a hole in you. Safety goggles help too, just an extra layer of plastic to prevent your eyes. Just hope he's not barefoot 🤣

Depends on the type of welding. My father was a professional welder (did all kinds) and seldom wore anything other than a face shield. The garb you're talking about is more the kind of stuff worn by mill workers.

This isn't a big deal. There are welding shields that you hold over your face. This isn't that different. He probably doesn't want to or isn't allowed to take off his hard hat. The only real issue is that the mask is far from his eyes and that means he can still get burned by backscatter uv that's reflecting off his surroundings. If it's a quick weld, no big deal. In China it's common for workers to use a newspaper. The light is so bright you can see the arc through it.

He should be wearing sleeves because of the UV light. He could get basically a sun burn from that light. And the helmet should be closer to his face for a similar reason but also so that the sparks don't hit him and so that small pieces of metal don't get in his eyes. I'm not a pro but I've welded enough to know what is needed for PPE

It took me and hour to find this pic on tons of CDs I have things backed up on but WOW..I have one for you to look at! I was with my mom, I was driving her to a doctor appointment. We were stuck in traffic so she was taking pictures of "downtown", as this was thrilling for her (because she wasn't driving...) She doesn't know how to use her phone to take pics too well so we have 30 of them of the floor, steering wheel, etc. She sent this to me all freaked out later on. We have no idea WTF this could be. It was traffic, all cars had drivers and were inching along. This photo terrifies her. We have showed a dozen people and guessed ..dog? Someone moving quickly and making a blur?
