The gift of an experience is better than the gift of an object. Kim Welling, an artist from the Netherlands, solved the puzzle of how to gift an experience by creating The Instant Comfort Pocket Box, a decorated match-box with a nice message and 3D image inside.
The Instant Comfort Pocket Box works because it’s an authentic and thoughtful gift. Wellington’s style feels crafty and real, the messages simple and sincere, and there is a satisfaction in opening a little box and finding something wonderful inside, just for you.
Wellington left the Illustration program at Utrecht School of the Arts in 2007 to study on her own. This pivotal decision allowed her to focus on developing her personal style, and to create projects like this one.
