Thank you <3. Luna (black) was given back after being adopted for "purring and meowing too loudly) and Munchie (tiger mixtape) was a derp. They both come from the same foster and grew up together. Now they occupy my bed, get expensive treats, and can meow and derp all day and night long. Oh, and steal blankets, because that sheep blanket was originally mine.

I've never attempted to remove the blade from the sheath. The blade and sheath appear to be fused in rust.

You could consult the Military History Department at the National Museum of American History on the Mall. They'd be able to tell you how rare it is and what might be possible in terms of restoration. Send them an email with a picture.

Our first kitty after we got married was about 3 months old when she found us in 1973, meowing at our kitchen door one morning. Tried to find her home in the neighborhood with no luck, so we kept her and she lived to 19. She was long haired and all grey so we named her Mouse.
