I Followed My 83-Year-Old Grandma Around Her Farm For One Day
13Kviews
Despite what you may think, this series was shot in 2016. My grandmother has worked on a farm her whole life and she continues to do so, even at the age of 83.
She wakes up every morning at 6 o’clock sharp, makes coffee, feeds and milks the cows, feeds the chickens and only then makes herself some breakfast as well. She works all day and maybe rests in the afternoon for about 15 minutes. She is always on the go, unstoppable. Takes care of almost everything herself, boss lady that she is.

Thanks Anja for sharing your photos of your grandma. They are beautiful pictures and captured the strength, dignity, and spirit of your grandma. We know life on the farm is not easy, especially from the eyes of we people who grew up in urban cities. But I truly believe your grandma, like many others who are living on the farm, has a respect for hard work and determination to live life to the fullest. Please relate my best regards and respect to her, and God bless!
Beautiful... and sad.
Why sad?
Perhaps some might think it sad that she goes to sleep and gets up alone. I admire her strength and perseverance. I bet if anyone asked her why she does it she would answer "what else is there to do? I'm alive." Marvelous series, Anna!
Your grand-mother is a warrior! She does an incredible work everyday. It's sad that she can't take a break, it must be so so difficult to assume all this daily at her age. She really is a warrior. Long live your warrior grandma' !
