Right, who'd think to have a girl posing at an open trunk of a car with a shovel? I think if this were to be shot again, the photographer ought have the model wear gloves...which was a popular trend in the 1940s/50s for ladies, and it's such that I feel in this case, gloves are more of a necessity than a mere fashion statement. Just a suggestion!

They had to kick their shoes off and shake out their hair for the rumble - lol - but if the floating graphics and the Martha's Vineyard shirts didn't give it away - its all for fun with these ladies at the end of a pinup party and a million costume changes. I get ya - you can't get every client to be period perfect- they still have to be themselves. And they all wanted a picture in this t-shirt- they have been besties for 30 years.

Since they're paying for the experience, they can wear and style however they please.

I have been wanting to some of those, especially Josephine Baker! I have personal projects that I do occasionally but as Elizabeth mentioned, these are paid clients and I do have a variety of ethnic diversity that comes in my shop. Unfortunately some of them don't allow me to share their images.

I also wanted to say that there are several women of ethnic backgrounds in the ones I posted. The girl with the trunk open is African American known as Sarah SlayKitty. She is quite amazing!
