Yeah, Its good, but in my opinion, you should try use more typs od pencils (2b, 2h, 6b..) I mean, it could look more realistic.
I think you have made this pose very well. I'm a grownup now, but I used to live at the country and work with horses as a teenager. I never got the horse poses as well as you have done here.
Proportions need a little work ( non artist opinion) but this is fantastic.
Hello! I am studying to be a high school teacher and I found your art work while researching artwork for your age group. I think your use of shading is very impressive. I also agree with angry waffle about your smudging. I like to use kneeded erasers to remove smudges. It also looks like you are using a softer style of drawing paper. It is good to shade with but is really easy to smudge. Try different types of dry medium paper. Look for paper that is intended for sketching with drawing pencils if that's what you like to work with. You want a type of paper that feels more flat when you touch it with the pad of your finger. I've used the type of paper you used and it's not my favorite for sketching. The strathmore brand of paper is good, You can find it at michaels and it 's not too expensive.
So the biggest thing I see is a lot of smudging. If it isn't intentional, try to erase the smudges to the best of your ability. If it is, smudging as a shading technique is really difficult, and if done incorrectly can look messy. It would be better if you learnt a shading technique called "control blend", because that will give you the result closest to smudging.
As well, for inanimate objects (like the shoe), would it be possible to draw it using a live reference? That often makes it easier to tell how the object will bend and reflect light, as well as providing a reference
