Wife Documents Husband’s Hilarious Attempts To Make The Bed After Doing It Herself For 45 Years
For the first time in 45 years, Joanne Sterling from Manson, Washington, has put her husband Jim in charge of making the bed. And he’s doing a really good job. However, no matter how hard Jim is trying, he can’t seem to figure out what to do with the extra pillows. Amused by his struggles, Joanne started taking daily photographs of his attempts and uploading them to Facebook. The pics immediately went viral, and many can’t wait to see what Jim’s next arrangement is gonna be.

“Jim was put in charge of making the bed because I have always taken care of everything in the house while he was working. Now that we are retired, it’s time for him to pull his own weight around here!” Joanne told Bored Panda.
At first, Jim warmed up by making just his side but Joanne eventually decided to ask her husband if he could take care of the whole thing. “He did and started playing with the pillow arrangements to make me laugh,” the woman explained the origins of the series. “I hope it lasts for a while but I don’t know how creative he can get.”

Some of you observant folks might’ve noticed that one day Jim was on strike. “He learned he was getting some attention online and let the pressure get to him!” Joanne recalled. But don’t worry, Jim got used to his Internet fame and made up for the hiccup day.
“I can’t believe people are so amused by this,” Joanne added. “We try to make our relationship last by making each other laugh. I’m so glad people have been able to relate during this difficult time.”
Here’s what people said about the wholesome series
Me, too! They're such a sweet couple. I hope all of us can find our Joanne or Jim one day.
Load More Replies...What to do with the decorative pillows? Toss them out. Can you imagine fussing with those things for 40 years?
Don't understand the point of decorative pillows at all. Pretty and useful pillows, yes, but the ones that most people toss on to chairs when they use the bed (or toss onto the floor) then, nope, don't get it.
Load More Replies...Jim does what Jim wants to do. When any Jim takes on some of the chores, as long as it gets done, LET HIM DO IT THE WAY HE WANTS TO and tell him he is doing a great job.
I need 3 pillows to sleep, so this many pillows makes sense to me. Plus, what if I need to make a fort in the middle of the night?
This is my aunt and uncle. They truly are the best people and live their lives with love and humor at all times.
They have a Lambchop from the old show with Shari Lewis
Load More Replies...I love them and their attitude toward life. I was shocked and disappointed that a few found something to complain about hope they keep reading and get a happy attitude adjustment. PS I love lots of pillows!
We have lots of pillows, not for decoration but for use. We (my husband and I) each have a particular one for under our heads, then a couple of others for using to lean against the headboard with while reading in bed, or to brace up a knee while lying on our sides. I love extra pillows that are usable!
Load More Replies...I dont think that Jim is struggling at all. He is in charge and he is having fun with pillows that are useless and silly anyway
My parents had for years exactly one extra pillow on the bed and that was the one i had in my pram/stroller (whatever your word is :) ) as a baby and as i become a mom they gifted me the pillow for the baby.
A man with a sense of humor and a patient woman can make for a long relationship.
I like Jim!! and Joanne too! these are so sweet and funny--hard to pick a favorite--probably the one with all the animals....I hope Mr. Bill got out ok! so much fun!
He can't even make the bed because she took care of everything around the household for several years, and somehow that's cute and funny?
Did you even read the story? It said she took care of the household chores for 45 years while he worked outside of the home. Once he retired, she asked him to pitch in and take over some of the chores. Obviously HE doesn't have a problem with it, so why do you? Yes, it is cute and funny. Your sense of humor seems to have gone missing.
Load More Replies...My only surprise is that it took you 45 years to get him to help you make the bed! Lol
Jim, you have a sense of humor that is hard to find. I worry about those pictures over your head. Get that bed rocking and someone is going to get knocked out!
One lady at the nursing home I worked at used to have half a dozen stuffed animals on her bed. I used to have fun by "accidentally" arranging them in suggestive positions...
Seriously, folks, what's the point of "making the bed"? By all means, change bed linens frequently. But, really just why? Surely, there are more useful and productive things to do.
In response to "Whoever convinced women" to use a bunch of decorator pillows: GAY MEN who sell those pillows for $70 each.
In the one with the sheep they have a Lambchop doll from the old show with Shari Lewis
LOL I liked the one "on strike" thanks for the smiles to both :):)
Friggin' sofa parasites! What are these pillows supposed to do? Protect you from the hardness of a... mattress? They're just useless dust-attracting complicators; which is OK for beautiful things but these are just mellow-coloured lumps. GRWAH pillows MAKE ANGRY!!
