Dear reader, it is literally not rocked science, because I don’t know anything about rockets. What I know is though, that happiness is a state of mind AND it can be learned. Quite easily actually, if you’re up to a little consistency and spending 5 minutes of your day.

Doing what?

Writing down 3 things that you have been grateful for. Maybe you had a good time at work? Maybe your lunch was absolutely delicious? Or maybe someone just smiled at you on your way to work?

It does not matter what made you smile that day.

Write it down.

Try to feel how you felt that particular moment.

I had been at a very dark place, mentally, and I wanted out. So, I tried this simple thing. And it worked well for me.

Yes, it will take time.

It’s not an overnight thingy.

It’s like training your butt (like everyone seems to do these days, including me) – you have to be consistent and you should keep your goal in mind – than that butt will grow, form or whatever you want to have it look like.

Same thing for the brain. If you address the part of the brain – which reacts to gratitude – more often, you will feel that feeling grateful becomes easier and easier.

And, the best part about being grateful for even the smallest things:

You’ll get happiness as a byproduct. :)

So, please, go ahead and try. It could make a huge difference for yourself and your sake.

Let me know if it is working for you.
