aaaaaaAAAAH my characters are PERFECT and I LOVE THEM and AHAHAHHHSAASHSHAK
Anyways I have a few characters who I really like! By a few I mean seven (in my main WIP) but then again I never said I didn't like large casts. I know that seven POV characters (technically eight but sorry rez you're a love interest although you're the best) is a large amount but oh well I'm good at it and I love it.
It's found family, the seven of them get cursed (it's fantasy) and end up having to travel together for a while. They quickly realize that none of them particularly like the others but since they're all going through a s**t ton, they have to lean on eachother and personally I think that the character dynamics are wonderful.
Ajax x Aspen all the f*****g way, they're both very Not Okay but they'll be okay in the end. I hope. Erez slightly less all the way if only because Eris is a not good person and idk what rez sees in them but those two are endgame.
I like my characters a perfectly normal amount and I definitely don't cry about one of them dying at the end. They're all queer and great and very well rounded out after years of me literally just changing their characters. I have a docs with all of their favorite colors. Eris couldn't choose between gold white pink or pale turquoise if you threatened them with a knife.

I am currently writing a YA contemporary romance (think John Green-esque) called I Am Not Alone.
I have two characters. Rebecca is an introverted bookworm. She loves books more than anything, and because she has no friends, she turns to books for comfort, even going to far as to imagine her favorite characters beside her. She is constantly the target of bullying because of her love of books and cherry red hair. However, she is unashamed of who she is, confident in her interests, and incredibly smart. All in all, Rebecca is everything I want to be.
Nate is your classic popular high school boy. Captain of the football team, dating the cheerleading captain, with sapphire blue eyes and jet black hair (yes, classic Disney prince. No, that was not on purpose). He is literally that stereotype. But he has a deep secret. He hates himself. He hates his life, and this facade that his father has been pressuring him into playing ever since his mother died. Secretly, he admires Rebecca. He wants to be like her- confident in himself and his interests, not the face of popularity, and allowed to openly love to read.
You can imagine how the plot goes.
It started as a short story and has been in the progress of being turned into a novel. Both the short story and unfinished first draft is posted on AO3, if y'all wanna read it (same username as bored panda). I'd love some feedback on it.
I forgot to add- Nate is the personification of everything I fear: being alone, being an imposter, and being judged.
I will now proceed to talk about the characters from the book I'm writing.
There are 7 main characters, but the 8th one is a Cupid who falls in love with the protagonist. Every chapter is a pattern of whose POV it is, but the Cupid doesn't have a chapter, although so far I have two extra chapters for side characters who only show up for a few chapters. One is a wolf dude and the other is an evil bounty hunter guy who helps the bad guy. Anyways, with that aside, I'll tell you about my characters :3
MAIN- Epics- She's a princess, but not very stuck up. She's the only other living person in her family beside her mother, Queen Raine, who is the queen of the Daylight kingdom. But then some dude KIDNAPS her for a prophecy and her mother is all alone. And we never know what happens to her again (Well, until the end of the book. Spoiler: She's alive) Anyways so Epics get's the cool ol' "Chosen one" cliché because she has MaGiCaL hIdDeN pOwErS that she can only access after touching the Tree of Life, which is only found in the Lost Forest of Death (Wow, talk about it.) So anyways, yea that's Epics.
OTHER MAIN- Star, Arnia's older half-brother from the Sea Kingdom. Weird stuff, I tell you. He's the other ChOsEn OnE and has a short temper, he's brave, and can cope with a lot of stuff at a time. But it's hard to get him to trust you, and let me tell you, I mean it's REALLY HARD to do it. You have to, like, risk your life for him or his sister (Which, although he teases her a lot, he's REALLY protective over her)
OTHER MAIN- Arnia- She is a boy lover. She has crushes on EVERYBODY EVER (Well, she's straight (For now), but you know what I mean) She tends to get herself in a lot of dangerous situations without realizing it, but she's sweet, nonetheless.
OTHER MAIN-Elvin(Pronounced Elve-inn)- He's an elf, emo dude. He's in love with Epics, but Epics doesn't like him back. So he gets together with Arnia. (Who knows for a FACT that she's just his second choice) He's obsessive and kinda toxic towards Arnia (Which, just so you know, is one of his many flaws) But he's really smart and picks up on things WAY before anybody else realizes (Like how Epics' dad (Who was also his mentor AND the King of the Night Kingdom) was evil, and another choice character was going to turn on them)
OTHER MAIN(s) Ginger and Sparkles- OK this entire book series is based on a recess game from 2017 when I was in elementary school, so DON'T KILL ME FOR STICKING WITH THEIR OG NAMES PLZ. :( . Anyways, they're Epics' guardians, who are shape-shifting fairies. Ginger is a ginger cat with a red ruby on her forehead from the Fire kingdom (Also known as the Fire realm), and Sparkles is a blue Rabbit with a crystal on her forehead from the Plant kingdom. They have a thing for each other😏😏😏 but they're extremely protective of Epics.
OTHER MAIN-Gizmo. He's a doctor and can build things, and he's in love with Arnia. That's all (EXCEPT HE'S THE BAD GUYS SON- DUN DUN DUNNNN)
SUPPORTING- Heart. He's a cupid who's in love with Epics, he's strong and handsome, and sweet, and brave... AHH! I'm simping for my own OC!!!!! MOVING ON-
BAD GUY- Silice. Half robot, half human. He's trying to wage a war with the main Oc's father against every kingdom. He's from the "Outcast lands" which is pretty much permanent prison for anybody. Think of the Isle of The Lost from Descendants. It's pretty much that except it's attached to the kingdoms.
Anyways, yea. That's not ALL the characters but you get the point

I wrote about a girl called Sofie in my short story, and omg she might be my favorite I’ve ever written. Sofie was made to be realistic and slightly stupid. Her story was about her being tracked down by taking an online survey. I spent 2 weeks on her. She had straight brown , light brown eyes, and wore grey sweatpants and graphic t shirts everyday. She lived in poverty. She would make jokes like how her teeth were as white and straight as Cynthia Rose from Pitch Perfect. I killed her in the end and she was hard to part with. RIP Sofie :)
My characters you literally.. have no idea how many times I’ve mentioned them here and tried now to rant. You’ve opened a can of worms OP. Okay!! So first we’ve got Texas. She was kidnapped as a child. Her real parents didn’t care enough to pay the ransom. The people who kidnapped her.. had never had this happen before. They couldn’t kill the child like they’d threatened. They were simply desperate. Their attempts to leave the child elsewhere all failed until slowly they grew to love her. She was... their child now. At the age of five she was shot. Healed, barely, but her parents figured someone knew what they’d done, and didn’t let her outside the house after that, ever. Fast forward, she’s now 18, and her parents have gone missing. She has to learned to adapt to the world now, and is slowly learning the world isn’t as nice as she thought. This was long...

I’ll rant about my other two here. First we have Carolina (Cara.) She was a perfect child, was until her sister proves to be more perfect. Trying to regain the status as the good kid, and try to get her parents attention again, she broke until stress. Totally snapped. Totally went the other direction. Rebelled, and rebelled hard. Did everything she shouldn’t be doing, cried herself to sleep on nights she was alone, and managed to convince herself she was happy like this. Universe goes ‘Girl, no, stop this’ and gives her a ‘power.’ She can make people forget alllll about her. Expect, she can’t control it, and most people do. Cue lonely life, living on the streets, still pretending to be happy. Then she falls in love a guy, and shortly after gets adopted by a villain group, and is given a device to keep her power at bay with the terms of she now belongs to this group. Also her boyfriend is a hero. Whoops
ALTHOUGH (just noticed the description) the villain group is her found family. So she can't just leave them for the boy
Last Oc that’s been plaguing me lately is Arizona (Ari). She is the firstborn of the Winter royal family, one can only assume. They were twins. When you’re having unexpected twins you’re more concerned about the fact there are TWO OF THEM. Anyway her and her sister live a happy life for a bit. They get a baby brother. Then Ari is pulled away from them to start learning things, and there is a lot to learn if she’s going to be Queen one day, and Winters always been obsessed with perfection. Her mind snaps after a while. It was too much. Now days, she is forgetful, often confused, hallucinates sometimes, and is no longer heir and is mostly neglected by her family. However her siblings barely know she exists at this point, nor her father. And her mother just is plauged consistency with pains and regrets about everything including Ari. Ari never really stays where she’s told, and has met a (slightly shady) bookstore owner who is basically gonna end up adopting her, even though she’s like... 19 now. I also have plans to turn her to the dark side because of her (slightly shady) father figure who really is like, king of the black market dhjsjsjksd

I was demanded to bring fourth the fourth (XD) and I am very pleased you like my characters, honestly getting on and seeing you commented on all of them made my day lol. Final one on my mind is December, Ari’s mother actually, Queen of Winter. Winter’s Royal Family has always been obsessed with perfection, and December’s parents were no different, yet not as bad as December herself. Her older brother was going to be king, but was killed by a castle guard. The guard had only been defending himself.. the brother had been out for blood. Guard was killed. Her brother had a funeral. All the while December hides her real emotions on things. As future Queen, her parents believe she’ll need a king, and so they pick a man they hope she’ll marry. A noble mans son. The son.. seems perfect. But no doubt is the kind of person to hurt things for no reason and not doubt takes advantage of woman weaker than him. She’s going to Mary him anyway, to appease her parents, until the meantion of Children is brought up. That’s the final straw. She says no to the marriage proposal. Everyone freaks. Over the next while, she’s says no to all their other attempts. The noble mans family gets angry. Sends an assasian after then. The king and Queen are now dead, and December wakes up to noises outside her door, and something falling to the floor. Upon investigation, she finds her fathers most loyal guard, standing over the dead assasin. She becomes Queen, and in time marries the guard. She’s young though, I’d guess about 20. In her quest to prove herself perfect and without fault she 1) managed to convince her husband she doesn’t really love him by the way they conduct themselves 2) breaks her first child’s mind (Ari) 3) ruins her next two children mentally, and 4) totally neglects the fourth child though she loves him, lest she ruin him to. She hates herself. And is also trying to talk herself out of living her husband, because while he’s off convinced she doesn’t love him he’s off sleeping with the maids -_- they’re only gonna realize they still love each other when she has a knife in his back I swear. This is the longest yet-
charlie gold. 14, closeted lesbian so closeted she doesn't even know it yet. her best friend laine is a homeschooled dancer who has known charlie since they were both four years old. in this story, charlie is her own worst enemy, though. her therapist quinn tries to help her through her struggles but charlie isn't honest with her. she develops a crush on this girl named ruby and it takes her way too long to realize it's a crush. her and ruby become really close and one day they eventually kiss. aaand that's all i have in the storyline currently but i'm still working on it.

Amit characters are mirror twins (apparently a real thing!), Asha and Thalia. It’s a fantasy setting, I’m not going to explain the whole magic system bc it’s complicated, but each sorcerer has an element. Asha’s is fire, Thalia’s is ice. Asha can’t really control her power and accidentally destroyed her village as a child, and therefore has extreme PTSD. Thalia is apprentices to a village witch to learn how to help Asha. They’re both fairly tall with olive skin, slightly wavy black hair, and different colored eyes (green and gold). Thalia is a bit shorter and stockier, Asha’s hair is roughly chopped short at about chin length. Both are cis girls, Asha is pan and Thalia is lesbian and her girlfriend will kick your a$$. Asha has a pet pseudodragon (D&D, basically miniature dragon with stinging tail) named Asphodel.
I have no idea where the Amit came from, or what I meant to say. Whoops. It’s a dark cult fantasy with lots of found family and gayness. Also I’m trying to write it like LGBTQ+ is an accepted and normal part of the world, no controversy or anything. Because lord knows we need it.
Sorry, I'm bad at this kind of stuff, so just bear with me.
Jeremy is the main character. He is an orphan(of course) but he thinks his parents abandoned him, when really they died. It's kind of hard to explain because he lost his entire memory, and someone replaced it, so he doesn't really know himself for the first two books. He has brown hair and green eyes, like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson which I didn't realize until after I wrote the description. He is very emotional for a guy, which because I'm a girl i didn't realize until someone pointed it out, and although I cut some stuff out, he still feels a lot. He was the center of a prophcey and is the most powerful magical being on the planet which sounds really cringey but there's no other way i can say it.
Aris is the love interest and I she's my favorite. She is all tough and stuff but she has a backstory. Her dad is on the evil side, and left her when she was seven(mom died). Now she has trust issues and is super cold, and has no friends. Until she meets Jeremy, who she opens up to, and then he hurts her again and she reverts back to hating people and not letting herself feel anything.
Anise is Jeremy's pet who I'm considering taking out of the book. She is silly and goofy and honestly pointless besides giving emotional support. She's a bear/dog/beetle creature thing.
Rhett is stuck up and arrogant, but is misunderstood. He is the son of the leader of the good side(sorry, confusing) and had all these expectations that he doesn't feel like he can live up to. Especially against Jeremy, who is way more powerful than he is. He and Jeremy get in this huge fight at one point and Jeremy beats him up REAL bad. It was quite fun to write:)
Trylys is sweet, and optimistic. She sees the best in everyone and is friend with both Rhett and Jeremy. She kind of helps Jeremy admit he likes Aris.
i know they sound really typical, but i couldn't phrase it in a way that it didn't sound like that. They're not i promise, Im just bad at describing things that aren't in a story
