I am on here almost daily and see comments from many people comparing their country to other's so I decided to poll.

I'm from Trinidad in the Caribbean! The closest island to South America at the end of the archipelago. If you have any questions about us, just ask!
Woah! I think i've met someone from there but I wanna visit sometime! Here's a few questions: What's it like living in a small country? How long does it usually take to get around? What type of food do you guys usually eat? Do you visit other carribean countries for week trips and how long does it take and how do you get there?
1. Living in a small country is both a blessing and a curse. It's good because you know the entire island, you know a lot of people etc. but it's bad because travel isn't easy...we can't go on long road trips, or empty your saving and move to another state and try something different. Lol. I always wanted to do a long road trip, just from place to place...but not possible here. 2. I can travel around our island in 2-3 hours. I can drive for 30mins and meet the coast. It helps because our cities and country areas are very close together. 3. We have a fusion cuisine. We have African, Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Native...all types and our own twist on these dishes. 4. To get to other islands we have to take a flight. It isn't really something we do often but you just need a passport (no visa) and it's pretty easy. Not cheap...but pretty easy. Lol. The trip can range from 15mins to 2 hours.

US. I keep getting asked about this so I'll explain. Yeah, my username says "Germany Girl". I love learning languages and German is my favorite so far. I also love German music. (Mark Forster, anyone?) So yeah. I'm from America but my heart is across the sea.
So funny, it's exactly the opposite to me! My birthplace is Germany - but I identify myself much more with Northern California... keep up your German and come visit Germany as soon as possible!
Once I'm older and have enough money saved up, I really want to. Which city there would you recommend for touristing?

The Ozarks are beautiful, we took a vacation to Arkansas once and drove through Missouri and over/through/around the Ozarks
I’m from Turkey and living in Istanbul. But we are living a bit far from the center Istanbul so i really love my town. It’s far from the crowd but near to every place to visit :)

My second home! Have been applying for a green card so many times in the 90ies - no luck, eventually moved back to Europe. But till this day: Sonoma and San Francisco Bay Area are my favorite spot - it's where my soul is home, even though I was born and raised in Europe until I was 15
LV, NV USA. Would gladly be anywhere else than here but sadly ssdi won’t pay me if I could live outside the US. I’d be an amazing ex Pat.
