My sister was around 8yo when she cut her own bangs when her hair was wet. Once her hair was dry, the bangs were much shorter than she anticipated. She had to walk around with her eyebrows up and her eyes wide open to make her hair look longer.
Sorry if this is a bit long...my family is chinese-jamaican, and when my sister was about 7 y/o, she watched an old Chinese horror film with my grandma, where if you look in a mirror at 3 AM, your evil twin would climb out, kill you, and go on living your life but doing evil things. So for years, every time she had to use the bathroom early in the morning, she'd cover her eyes with her hands to make sure that movie wouldn't come true. Didn't tell us until we caught her doing so at 17 y/o, and she finally told us why
Okay I gotta share this. This story inspired me to make this question. My brother decided to walk outside after getting out of the pool. He was soaking wet, only his swimsuit on, not even a towel or shoes and we walked outside and was outside for about 3 minutes like this in 30°F (below 0°C) weather. With no shoes shirt and wet swim trunks and didn't even dry off before doing it.
