TikTok. I mean what is it? One of my colleagues, younger than me posts stuff like her miming to songs and pulling faces. It isn't funny, it isn't conveying any information. Am I just old?

I mean it's good for just fun or time killing and you can find fandoms and things, but it's addictive as, and if you're not in such a good place it can get very toxic (or just plain wierd) very quickly

And it's challenges are dangerous and criminal. Are they that desperate for attention?

I just don’t like them myself, but I respect the choice of wearing them. Sorry, I worded the entry wrong

I think it’s just to add something else to an outfit so it’s not one solid thing. More to look at?

I think it's just a style choice. I like wearing crew neck shirts, some people like the way rips in jeans look.

Of course! I respect the choice, I just don’t like it personally

Not necessarily a trend, or anything new, but starting drama. There's plenty of existing drama. If you really want some, get in the middle of the existing drama. Try to help people, you know?

Glamour Shot pictures. I still can remember going to a friends house and her mother's picture was prominent in the entryway. She was wearing a leather jacket ... pulled away from the collar ... and a feather boa. Why? Even then, I was disturbed as an 8 year old seeing this.

I am not sure if this is what you mean but with your description I'm picturing those photobooth shots where you wear big glasses, feather boas and a hat that says life of the party or whatever.

Not creasing shoes. They are functional, they are meant to protect your feet. Kids put so much stress on their knees by trying not to flex their feet while walking. I just don't get it.

My shoes are all ancient and super torn up and I love them. They're incredibly comfortable

Like when i was younger the cool thing was worn shoes so I would take my brand new white converse and dust them in sand, flex them so they were comfortable. Now, my little cousin is saving his allowance money to buy fancy crease guards which essentially keep his shoes completely flat when he walks. Like there's no way that's comfortable but he refuses to wear his new shoes until he has the guards.

They sell crease guards which keep the shoes straight which allegedly helps however some kids still look like the tin man when they walk around.

I just got new shoes, creased after one hour. I do not understand.

They don't make them like they used to which makes it harder to avoid creasing. However now there are crease guards you can buy to help stop it and then you just actively try not to flex your foot when you walk. It's absolute madness. A broken in shoe is a comfy shoe.

I think it's been for the last year or so. To me it's the progression from not creasing baseball caps and keeping those completely flat across the front, stickers and all. It's almost like... wear clothes like you bought them just for that event so you can return it later kind of look. I think it looks dumb and feel infinitely out of touch which is insane being that I'm in my 20s living in a uni town, but all the first years have creaseless shoes now.

Using real names as insults. Calling women "Karens" for showing any emotion and concern. Sure, there are those who overreact. But the name is now thrown at any female who wants to share an opinion, especially mothers. Enough already. The person who inspired the trend wasn't named Karen. The lady used as an example of what is deemed as the "Karen" look isn't named Karen. On another note, using "OK Boomer" and insulting anyone 40+ and downplaying what older people have to say. It comes off as super immature, like the person saying it is 12, it's condescending. and it's another term thrown around at anyone who has "old fashioned views", good or not great, despite their real age. Makes no sense. Contouring noses to make them look thinner and longer. Nothing wrong with a button, round, wide nose. All the better to smell with. Only winged/cat eye eyeliner. There are other great styles to do eyeliner.

I used to do this but only because boots used to not be warm enough in the winter to be outside for long hours like I did. so I would wear 3 pairs of socks.

For instance, I don't understand why Collections Grey-Suits are so obsessed with fidget spinners, as they don't seem to have any practical purpose.
