Since I have had pets since I was very young, I have been gifted with many things.

When I was a teenager, my deaf cat brought me a live swamp rat, and dropped it in my lap. Fortunately, it wasn't a ROUS. She couldn't hear me scream, but she figured I wasn't happy when I jumped up and ran from the room.

My dog stole a 5 lb. roast from the top of my neighbor's freezer which she kept in a shed.

Different cat. She carried lizards around in her mouth. Never killed them, just brought them in the house from the garage. She also brought me a pygmy rattler. That was fun. She also hoarded dead spiders and put them in the back of my closet. I also found all of the missing earrings when we took up the old carpet.

Another cat brought birds he caught in the house and shoved them under the couch. He had to bring them from the backyard through the dog door into the garage, then another dog door into the house. I found them when they started to smell.

Current cat loves scrunchies, and I have to beg her to give them back.

One of my favorites is from my SIL. She had a golden retriever puppy that she had trained to fetch her paper. One Sunday morning she got a call from the neighbor telling her that the puppy had somehow gotten out, and had fetched every newspaper in the neighborhood. Good/bad boy.
