Conversely, I think college should be made more affordable. If the monetary investment is the only what keeps people from failing classes, you probably don’t want them getting important jobs.

I know I'm gonna get downvoted, but for me it's 8 year olds changing their gender. They should have to be 18 or so imo. 8 year olds barely know what gender is!!

Kids don't get gender reassignment surgery. It is literally illegal. Aside from that, kids know damn well how they feel inside. Sure, it may change, but just as a CIS child will know they are a boy or a girl, so will a trans child. Forcing them through puberty while not being able to be themselves is incredibly harmful. If you forced a CIS boy to go through puberty as a girl, that kid would be in therapy as soon as he escapes home. Or shoot up his school. Or kill himself. Let them discover themselves and take their feelings seriously. You can parent without invalidating a child's feelings.

I knew full well I was a girl long before that age. I remember looking down my nose at boys when I was 5. They were loud, noisy, smelly and horrible. If I'd been trapped in a body with a willie, I would've known it was the wrong body. I do agree though that a child may tell you "I'm a boy" (if they're a girl) one day then "I'm Batman" the next.

Agreed. Once you're an adult, that's your thing, but absolutely not children/teens. You're still figuring out who you are and your brain doesn't stop major development until your twenties, and you need some life experience that isn't school. Give it time, and don't rush to do something that requires surgery.

Why is the google doc spell check being so annoying!? It's useless! I'm a writer so it use it a lot, but it seriously does nothing. Like, I write 'thingt' meaning 'thing' obviously, and it's like "unknown word". Come on! I know you know I know you know that you know what it means. And when it does have a suggestion? It's WAY off! I spell 'sweatshirt' wrong and it thinks I'm trying to spell soup?? ok, AND... I cannot voice my opinions. I try to calmly, kindly explain my opinion on something(Controversial to be fair) and no-one listens. I would say what this "Controversial thing" is, but I can't, because people would hate me for it. Everyone is just looking to be offended these days, and they automaticly hate you if your opinion on something is different then theirs.

Because you basically DO get forced to watch football. It is on evrywhere, all the time. You go out to eat and they have the game on, people talk about it incessantly at work, at home, wherever. There is football c**p all over every frickin thing you buy, chips, soda cans, etc. And even in the off season all you hear on TV is "Cam Newton". It's too much. No other sport is that way.

It's not the concept of pronouns you don't like, it's the fact that you feel it inconveniences you. If I meet you and assume you are a she and not a he (or vice versa, ) YOU will get upset. Everyone just wants to live their lives. Language changes over time, just be polite.

I’m afraid I have to disagree. I am non-binary and I felt horrible with my gender for years. I would have loved for my schools to teach me about gender and pronouns. Not to mention if we got taught about the queer community maybe kids would be less homophobic and transphobic. Maybe teachers would care when kids get made fun of for being gay. Queer people still need to be treated better.

Some people are d***s. Some beliefs are horrible. (But also you should at least try to respect everyone until they prove that they should not be respected). If you don't understand something, don't scream about it on social media. Look it up so you can understand it. And, finally, if your opinion is hurting people, you're the problem. If your 'controversial opinion' is that trans people are faking it for attention or people with autism shouldnt be allowed in public, you. Are. The. Problem. Get the hell away from me and get yourself some therapy so you can be an okay person. Even if you insist on having a twisted, horrible 'opinion', keep it the f**k to yourself. If you know that you're gonna hurt someone, don't say it. No one is defined by what you don't like about them- we are all humans with our own lives and quirks and thoughts and emotions. Don't hurt someone just because you think that their identity is somehow wrong. If they arent hurting you, just ignore them. Keep quiet and go about your day.

Schools in the UK and US have stressed their point of being accepting towards LGBTQ+ students that it's become strained, almost like (and this is my own personal experience) almost like cishet people aren't supposed to be cishet. Maybe my school did it wrong. Opinion?

Since we're still learning and working on getting things right, perhaps shoving things down peoples throats should ease up and they should allow people time to adjust to a few things at a time instead of bombarding us. I say this as the mother of a non-binary child and great friend of several transgendered, gay/lesbian etc people. Don't make me feel outcast because I'm not LGBTQ+ or because I am.

Not everyone should be allowed to have kids. We need population control. If you want to have a baby, you should go through the same process as people go through for adoptions... background checks on your financial, social, mental status etc...

Watching tv should not be 10 minutes show and 20 minutes commercials. Those commercials should not be 80% black and 20% not black. When a straight couple comes on a show they don’t get all sexy, kissy, etc. neither should a gay couple. Leave your sex at home - everyone. I love expressive t-shirts! Why do so many gay oriented ones have to be so sexually explicit??? ( I was looking at T-shirts on Amazon for a gift for someone who has just come out to their parents. So many many many referred to something they like to do sexually!

Don’t hate me but here’s a list of things that will likely end up being controversial. 1. So called gender identity. It’s not scientifically proven and it’s just dumb. 2. Pronouns. Literally no one cares about your pronouns. 3. Feminism. It gets some things right(equal pay, improving education for women) but not everything right and(men are built for hard labor and war and this is historically and scientifically proven). 4. So called and I quote “cancel culture”. It’s toxic and wrong and no one deserves it no matter what they did. 5. Wokeism(2022 basically). It’s sometimes hard to understand because it’s so incredibly dumb(alert to racism and injustice is the dictionary definition). Overusing the word racist even when it is not racist is INCREDIBLY stupid and grammatically incorrect.

I support BLM and I am in the LGBTQ community, but I agree that there are times when it just feels like pandering. And when that happens the representation is really poor. If you can't make it work organically then just don't do it. Like, a white guy can't speak about a Black woman's perspective, because they have very different experiences in life in how they're treated. But I do like seeing more inclusivity that actually reflects the world we live in, not just the world we WANT to live in...

I think OJ Simpson was royally screwed. Hear me out. He was found not guilty of murder, but later had a $32m judgement against him. I understand there's a different process regarding civil and criminal courts, but if he was found not guilty of the murders, how and why could he be found guilty of wrongful death in a civil suit?
