My husband and my youngest son both have white, straight teeth and they smile with their mouth closed. They also have a temperament that is all straight; you, as a stranger, don't know if they are happy, sad, or angry; both their wife knows and that's enough for them. My daughter and I both smile with our mouth open. As for my oldest son, you never know if he's going to squint, look moody, or start laughing when we take a picture. Take your pick.

Not smiling? It's some sort of macho / tough guy thing (wanna be). Or they have bad and or missing teeth. Lack of shirt is just a lack of class. Is that overly expensive car really theirs or just a prop to impress?

I think some people end up forgetting what they're looking for and trying to impress as many others as possible for fear of rejection. You'll get way more rejections than oks. Quantity over quality, they're thinking.
