Thank you! Well I am a beginner myself but I will give you an advice which may seem like a minor thing, but I have found it very useful. Use two different water bowls - one to wash your brush and one to add water to your page/palette. Also don't be afraid to use dark or bright colours as it watercolors fade a bit once they dry! Good luck 😊

The way you added texture to the cloth makes it the fox look like it's actually hanging down. I could really feel everything in this painting. GOOD JOB, AND PLEASE KEEP PAINTING!!!

i record and master lots of music but i would give up everything i love to be able to paint or draw---i tried lessons but i think its one of those things you either have or don,t have

Could you really not? I've just gotten into drawing this past few months and am progressing really fast. I tried on and off a few years ago and my drawings were atrocious. Somehow, this year it just clicked. I advise you to draw simple things rather than something like a portrait or animal sketch. Try botanical fine liner drawings using tutorials by a YouTuber named shayda cambell. very easy and reallly beautiful. And trust me, Art is a skill, you can do it!

Retired Art teacher here. Anyone can learn if you break down the directions far enough. Start with learning to draw. Then progress to painting. Learn the basic techniques before you ever start an actual drawing. Learn basic painting techniques before painting. It is like a recipe. You need to know what to add and how first.

i love how watercolor and gouache and ink look but they're so intimidating to me. i've never been able to get watercolors to do anything besides blur together and make a big muddy blob on the paper, even on decent watercolor paper. but it's also been a long time since i tried, maybe i'll look up some tutorials on youtube or somewhere.
