My fostered "taco"... He and his 2 siblings were horrifically orphaned, but they were rehabed (never caged), and taught to forage for minnows and crayfish... Never socialized with other humans. Kept them wild so they wouldn't be a nuisance, and taught them what they needed. They're like a combo baby chimp/baby bear; 2/10, would not recommend, unless you enjoy some suffering!!! Tbh tho, if presented with the same scenario, I would struggle to say no; they are often euthanized.

They are adorable. When I was a kid I fell in love with the raccoon of Pocahontas and started saving to get one as a pet. Obviously I was like 8 and later I learned that you cannot keep wild animals at home but I find it ironic since later I worked for a while in an animal sanctuary that rescued wild animals houses as pets by irresponsible individuals.

Found out hes definately some type of vole but their usually grey/brown not orange so i think my ginger ones a bit unique! 😍 he wasnt scared of me at all he trundled past my foot stuffing all the tiny plants into his mouth

Really? Our older dog seems to believe that pidgeons are the enemy and she needs to keep them away from us since they are evil and dangerous. She is usually very friendly but not towards pidgeons xD Luckily she is dumb so she never caught one.

Apparently the American equivalent to what we call “elk” in Europe is “Moose”. They have a species of deer that they call elk. It’s confusing. The European elk and American moose are subspecies of the species Alces alces while the “American elk” is Cervus canadensis, what we would call a deer. I mean technically elks/moose’s are also deers but they aren’t called like that colloquially.
