My Kitten That Did Not Ruin Anything
Yes, It Was Me!
Our Little Siamese Trying To Drown Her Favorite Cuddle Toy Fish In A Bowl Of Water
Really funny to watch when the toy is wet, while carrying it in her mouth, it drops water on the floor which the little lady then vividly tries to avoid. Then starts runing through the house, from floor to floor, while she growls loudly 😸
Ha ha, I had one years ago that did this. Never could figure out what her reasoning was.
About what I've read there are several possible explanations: Hiding or nesting its prey, washing off the prey’s scent, driven by collecting and gathering instincts, learned pattern, boredom. Also no clue what drives ours. However the little lady is kinda "high maintenance" 😸 so eventhough we spend quite a lot of time with active playing, we noticed that she shows this behaviour most when playtime is over or when she seems to need a different approach.
Load More Replies...Maybe kitty knows that fish swim and thinks her cuddle fish toy wants to have a swim? Siamese cats are a strange breed (said with affection and confusion). I'm a pet sitter and so far in 11 years have not sat for a Siamese cat. Which is fine by me as they are a chatty breed, and I have misophonia and think all that noise would irritate me. As beautiful as they are.
@ Epona : We had the same idea............rescue Fishy!!!!!!!!. IN fact there quite a few reasons why cats may behave like this, none of it proven though. They are indeed rather vocal. Ofc personality plays a huge role. But in common, they're very smart, very upfront, tends to like humans more than fellow cats, wants to experience everything you do, vocally adress anything worth sharing. Ours seems to have an unlimited amount of energy, cant' get enough playtime. I absolutely adore this breed but caretakers should be aware about the fact they can be high maintenance.😽

I guess she loves you that much. My former kitty use to pee on my stuff till I got him fixed. So maybe?......
Have you had her checked for UTIs and kidney issues? Unless she's always had proclivities for going outside the litterbox... XD
Yup ! Perfectly healthy 😊 peeing in the bed is her little guilty pleasure when she's slightly upset at us 😅

Don’t Know If This Counts But My Cat Moo Was Not Letting Me Work On My Puzzle!
John Spilsbury invented the jigsaw puzzle in 1762. It was probably before 1763 that cats got together to decide that nobody is going to finish one if they can do anything to stop it!

The Culprit Dropped It By My Side And Scarpered. Thanks Eanie
A few minutes later she dumped a very much alive wood vole on my pillow. Rescued and let loose.
She is trying to contribute to the house! My cat brought me a bird head trophy and a whole bird one time. A head trophy and a whole dead animal is a sign of deep respect for the pride in the cat world. She mostly brings me mice. She also likes to walk with us when we take our dogs out, and has following my husband across the street into the store before. Her name is Mrs pancakes
My housemate woke up to find *Someone* (and we know who) had deposited a mouse on his bed. A live mouse. No self-respecting fieldmouse would voluntarily sleep with a human. Pest Control is so bored they're going out and bringing their work home.
I love how it's positioned like in a coffin. My cat Amos left me one like that. Also, woke me up to give me a headless mouse.
I don’t mind. A spider on my pillow? I’ll break the world record for the fastest get out of bed event. I could here the last one skittering across my pillow.
Load More Replies...I know I will get people upset by saying this but I feel the need to point out that the chances of your cat/s bringing you dead animals (birds/mice/lizards/etcetera) as "presents" are much less likely to happen as often if you keep them (the cat/s) indoors (or at least confined to a cat run/catio when outdoors). Yes, they can still bring in those critters, if you have a wild mouse problem in your house or something similar) but the chances are probably considerably lower than if the cat/s are not allowed outside whenever they want. Please don't downvote me and get me suspended for voicing my opinion on this. I am allowed to feel how I feel. I don't expect people to agree with me, just like I don't expect to agree with other people who feel differently than I do. This is not something that I should get suspended for saying.
Of course you are allowed to have your opinion. But in my opinion keeping a cat in a closure if you live in a calm area is just sad. Being "mouse-presents" free is not worth it. If you live in a city, that is a different story.

Load More Replies...Can you keep some cat toys on the table/desk (that kitty cannot access until you open the container) so that you can distract her with them while you do your homework? Or put some catnip on a cat bed somewhere nearby and she can enjoy that while you work?
She has plenty of toys everywhere, but she will stop whatever she is doing to sit on my paper as soon as I sit down with it. She had been chasing a cough drop wrapper right before I got out my work

Omg, what a mess that must have been! Even your dad's ashes?! 😣
Luckily the mini-urn is taped closed (it's the blue and gold thing at the bottom of the pic, to the left of the Zylkene box) so it didn't open or spill, but Preacher certainly makes a mess of anything that's set on a surface he decides to place his majestic self on XD
Load More Replies...If you have a mischievous cat, why would you keep a family member's ashes within reach of said cat? Why not put the ashes in something the kitty can't wreck/spill? Or scatter the ashes (without the cats' participation)?
1. I like having some of my dad's ashes near me, on my desk. 2. It's the blue and gold thing in the bottom of the picture, it's a mini-urn with just a portion of his ashes. It's taped closed, so it didn't spill :) It just got knocked off the tank to the desk a few inches below. 3. I want to, and I intend to do so, but I want to scatter his ashes at a place where he used to be happy: the spot where we would vacation every summer when I was a kid. It's a 6-7 hour drive from where I live, and I haven't been able to afford the trip there yet, both financially (gas) and timewise.

Load More Replies...Tip for your mom: Take a picture of the puzzle when it's complete, so you have the memory captured. Tip for you: take JoJo to doggy daycare to help her learn how to not get so spooked by other animals. I would like to know what you meant by "freaking out". The scared kind of freaking out? Or the angry kind? Or the excited kind? All of them combined? Is this just a common thing in Border Collies (I think she's a Border Collie)? Maybe get some kind of window film that lets light come in the window but blocks her sight (and gives you more privacy) so she doesn't get so spooked. Also, how low was the table that the puzzle was on that she was able to knock it all over so easily? Was it a low coffee table? I have many questions

My Bunny After Biting My Brother's Charging Cable And Got Scolded
Rabbits have zero remorse for this kind of thing. Cords are merely inconvenient things that need to be moved. We've had rabbits that snipped wires and one that ate papers, the more important the better. It's a good thing they are cute and affectionate.
After A Long Hard Day Of Scratching The Couch, She Has Befriended It For The Next Day
Give her more scratching posts/cat trees and scratching pads and shake some catnip on them to entice her to scratch them instead of the human furniture. Sometimes you might need to hold her paws up to the scratching posts and mimic the act of her scratching to get her to understand how to use it. This is a thing people sometimes have to do with kittens and/or rescue cats who may not have ever seen/used a scratching post/pad before
We tried before, it didn't work, she sleeps on it.

I no longer waste money on expensive toys for Christmas--I get my cat a $1 pack of tissue paper. One sheet will keep her entertained for 4-5 days before it becomes too shredded to play with any more, so she gets about 3 months worth of enjoyment out of a single 20 sheet pack.
Confidently Destroying Their Cat Toy... (It's Ok Though, I Got Spare Ones)
I posted another pic of a computer mouse damaged by them, but it was removed. Yay, BP logic! But a pic of a dead animal without even the cat that did it, that's Ok!
Many years ago I had two pet rats. They're so sweet so I haven't really appreciated the pics of dead rats or mice either.
