The only books I've kept after donating the rest of my and my parents' ~4000 volumes book collection. Mom also kept some novels in our living room bookcase, but almost all of these have been bought with my own money during the last decade.

A few years ago, I was at someone's house and there was something wrong with their apartment. It took me a while to understand what was bothering me: There was no bookshelf, worse there was no book anywhere, not even a magazine, nothing to read! Nah... Not a place for me... All your bookshelves make me happy!
