Things to know before the story: 1/4 of the world belongs to mythical creatures while 3/4 of it belongs to humans. The mythical creatures and humans began a war for territory that lasted 20 years. They ended it in a peace treaty and no one won. The MC (mythical creatures) had two different societies. One was the high society while the other was the low society. The HS belonged to famed creatures such as dragons, fairies, elves, and unicorns. The LS belonged to trolls, goblins, gnomes, centaurs, and all the other dregs.
The actual story: Now two human kingdoms are fighting and war between them is soon coming. The kingdom of (I can't think of a name. How about we just call this place kingdom #1 while I try to think of something.) has revolutionary robots and a huge trained army. Kingdom #2 doesn't have anything but a puny military. To win the war, Kingdom #2 attacks the MC's HS and wipes them out when they refuse to help them. All of the MC's in the HS are, well, killed except for one young dragon named Auri, who ran away. The Kingdom #2 then takes the LS creatures hostage and takes them to their military without choice to train them to fight for them in their human war. They end up catching Auri and throw her in with the LS MC's in the military. They train during the day, eat very few, and are thrown in jail cells to sleep. Auri becomes friends with her cellmates who are both boys. One is a rare shapeshifter named Wayne while the other is a centaur named Atlas. They hatch a plan for all the MC's to escape. While they're escaping there is a problem and Wayne has to stay behind and shapeshift into a guard to distract the humans. Auri and Atlas don't want to leave him because they know he will get caught but Wayne insists. They leave and search for months to find a place to settle. All the MC's thank Auri and Atlas for helping them escape. Auri wants to go back for Wayne but Atlas tells her that she would just get caught all over again. Years pass as the MC's wait for the war between Kingdom #1 and Kingdom #2 to end. Once it does and the kingdoms are weak. The MC's had grown in population and sneak attacked the kingdoms. A few months later The MC's rule over both kingdoms, finally getting their sweet revenge. Auri rules Kingdom #1 while Atlas rules Kingdom #2. This was a way for the other MC's to show thanks for freeing them. They later find out that Wayne is alive. The MC's go out and search for him then finally find him. When they do, Auri and Atlas give a chunk of their land to Wayne for him to rule over. The kingdoms stayed united and helped each other in times of need. The End.
(I kinda made this as I went along. What do you guys think? I don't have a title for this or titles for the kingdoms. Come up with the names for the kingdom and book in the comments please.
