Hi! I know this is weird but I've been not able to sleep very well. I think one of the causes might be that my family's foster puppy barks a lot at night when she hears basically anything moving so my mom plays music on the radio. I think it's maybe the music because it's really, really loud....

But anyways, if you have anything that works for you please let me know!!

I mightttt have anxiety (idk) and for some reason it makes me panic before I sleep so something I try to do is try to get the room as dark as possible.

it sounds like noise is an issue too--I'm not sure how to help with that, but maybe if you play some white noise to drown out the sounds? my family's pretty quiet though so I'm not sure if it'll help

See if you can get some earplugs or ask your mom to turn off the music. It also sounds like your foster puppy might be scared, so going to the root of the problem and trying to work things out with that might be the best course of action. Are you allowed to let the puppy sleep with you? Maybe showing that you’re calm despite all the noises could show the puppy that it’s okay and the noises are okay and that the puppy is safe? If you can’t do that, I’d say keep your room dark and a little cold, cuz it’s scientifically easier to fall asleep when you are cold, and the room is dark. I like to work on my story that I’m writing until my eyes start to droop, and then I stop and go to sleep.
