The Sanctuary for Senior Dogs is a nonprofit organization that gives every dog in need a chance at a loving, comfortable home for their golden years. According to their website, their mission is simple but powerful: to rescue senior dogs abandoned in shelters, provide lifelong care, help them find permanent homes, and even create programs that connect senior dogs with senior people for mutual companionship. Beyond that, the sanctuary works to raise awareness of our lifelong responsibility to our animal companions and strengthen the bonds between humans and animals through respect and compassion.
Scroll down to meet some of the wonderful senior residents, share your stories of beloved older pets, and consider donating to help care for these amazing dogs.

What a sad little face. I wish I could afford to fly this little one to me in Scotland.
His name is apparently Hector Herbert Hoover XD

Such a darling. Obviously needs someone who doesn't move furniture around much. They must be out there.
Dogs only use their eyes for about 20% of getting around- everything else is smell and sound.
