Asshole Refuses To Stop Smoking At The Gas Station, Doesn’t Expect What’s About To Come
A few weeks ago we made a funny post about rules and the people who intentionally broke them. There are some rules however, that are there for good reason and if you do break them, by Jove there will be consequences.
And so we come to the gas station. Highly flammable liquids and gasses. Seems pretty logical to refrain from smoking right? Not for this douchebag, he‘ll smoke where he likes, thank you very much. Isn’t somebody going to put him in his place? Where are the gas station attendants? Somebody do something about this arrogant rogue!
Enter the hero of the day, a gas station employee has spotted the danger and is on the case. Watch the video below and see how he deals with the smug smoker, it’ll have you in stitches! And remember kids, smoking is bad, m’kay?

Share on FacebookI'm guessing he told the smoker to put it out and the guy did nothing. That employee deserves a raise! :D
Funny thing, the kid (mad about his T-shirt) started to argue and threatenning the man, who happened to be twice his weight, age and education. The owner of the car however remained calm and accepting.
Load More Replies...There are really two guilty persons here: the smoker And the driver of the car in which smoker was a passenger. He should have fun cleaning up his car and thinking about why he didn't act responsibly. Anyway, good for the attendant. He deserves a promotion.
This was in England or some country where the driver sits on opposite side. He was the driver not passenger.
Load More Replies...The other guy getting gas is just watching this thing unfold awkwardly.
I think the attendant took charge so quickly he didn't need to get into the mix.
Load More Replies...This happened in my country /Bulgaria/ and boys's mother said that its her fault she didn't teach him /he is 25 years old/ not to smoke at gas station and she will sue the employee ! Unbelievable ! And yes - the employee get a bonus from the company :)
As a smoker myself, I'm always amazed at how stupid people can be. Yes, let's have a burning hot coal near gas fumes! What could possibly go wrong?
Excuse me... I don't mind if you blow yourself up but I do mind if you blow up my gas station and other customers so let me fix that cigarette for you. Thanks man, you're the best!
Brilliant!!! The attendant acted bang on. He has a job to do and he did it. If the gas had ignited look at how many lives lost just on our video - two in one car, four in the other, the attendant and probably a few more we couldn't see. I hope he will get a raise and high praise for his quick actions.
Walk into someone's business, ignore the clearly marked no smoking sign and smoke anyway. Doesn't really matter if it's actually dangerous.
In the kid's defense, it is basically impossible to ignite gasoline with a lit cigarette. From: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/271921785_The_Propensity_of_Lit_Cigarettes_to_Ignite_Gasoline_Vapors Schuh and Sanderson [13] found that no ignitions occurred in 100 attempts to ignite gasoline with a lit cigarette, in various configurations. Specifically, none of the 20 cigarettes they dropped into liquid gasoline caused ignition. Likewise, no ignitions occurred when cigarettes under draw were placed above the surface of the liquid [up to 0.3 m (1 ft) away]. Even when gasoline was misted on lit ciga- rettes no ignitions occurred.

One of my classmates lived there with her family, her deaf uncle was burnt to death. Kids out on lunch came back crying because they saw a woman running out in flames. Years later I was at a service station and a customer was there smoking, so I berated him and told him my experience of seeing stupidity like his. housewarmi...7a6101.jpg
Excuse me, sir, you seem to be on fire. Let me take care of that for you.
Threatened to do this to a student on my bus who wouldn't stop smoking. He put it out as I approached with the fire extinguisher We aren't allowed to touch them and they know it.
Someday a motion sick fellow passenger will vomit on him, if he keeps doing that.
Load More Replies...Funny how times change. Back when I was a pump jockey for about 5 years in the 60's the Servo owner used to chain smoke and not once in that 5 years was there any hint of it being dangerous. He had been the same for over 30 years pumping fuel all day every day! Mind you, it has happened, he was just lucky.
The best part about this is that a coal cannot light fuel...It needs to be an open flame. I guess no one thought of a simple Google search. https://www.scienceabc.com/eyeopeners/can-cigarette-ignite-light-puddle-gasoline-fire.html
The funniest part of the whole thing is the cap the smoker is wearing. It says "DOPE". I think that's quite appropriate.
I'd sue the F**K out of that guy and the station. He wasn't filling his car with gas, and in the open like that, there was no way for the "gas fumes" to collect where it would have been a hazard. I worked around JP-5 (jet fuel) and regular gasoline....the only way that guy was a danger was if the guy fueling his vehicle had aimed the nozzle across the pumps and into the other guys car.
Smoker's cap said it all, DOPE, in more ways than one. Good on the employee for seeing a situation which could have been disastrous. Fumes travel quite far and a lit cigarette....well...you watch enough action movies to know what happens. He did the right thing.
only shows the ignorance in numbers. I would of called the cops after thug threaten me. Since my way of justice is frown on.
The wording of this article makes me wonder one thing. Do you actually know what a DOUCHEBAG actually is??
too funny!!!! shows just how little respect some young people have for rules these days. the attendant was in the right in my books.
Attendant only did what is SOP... u see a spark, u put it off with an extinguisher... hahaha...
It's fairly clear as to what his problem was. Near the end of the video you can plainly see the word DOPE on his hat.
And that class is how you deal with self important simple minded people. And he was the deiver
Well the knobheads in Bulgaria are unstoppable... guess this is the only way to do so. It was in a gas station in Bulgaria and this is NOT the driver but the passenger. The guy asked him kindly to put the cigarette down and he refuses, second time he told he that his shirt costs more that his salary .... and then the guy went mental... I've seen the interview and it is just hilarious. The mother of this joker wants to sue the gas station worker because of what he did ...
This is in Bulgaria, Sofia :) The case was from last month, so the employee recieve a new tv, from the boss of the station :)
As a precious gas station worker, I've stopped pumps before because said customer was smoking...
I'm not really against the guy's method! I can't really say yay nor nay! Fire near gasoline at a gas station is too great a risk to be too nice about it, but...there's always a better method to everything.
Bravo to the attendant -- and of course, to Nic Otine , what does fire extinguisher c**p taste like you moron ?......
Mr. Stupid Guy now has a major clean-up job to do! That was a dry POWDER extinguiser.
Bulgaria made it in Bored panda once more :) From local news: The boy's mother said she didn't thought him that you should not smoke on a gas station ... and now they are going to sue the employee because his eyes were "badly injured". The gas station thou gave him a reward and he has full society support.
I threatened to do that to a 'kid' who was smoking on my school bus. He put it out as I approached with the fire extinguisher.
At least the dumb a*s, was wear the right hate for the occasion lol, DOPE haha got what he deserved MaxthonSna...faf098.png
It gets me when he slams the door and the little cloud flies up...
The only a*****e here is the uneducated employee. I REPEAT. THERE IS NO DANGER SMOKING AT A GAS STATION. Think back to when smoking was so big people did it in elevators. Do you really think they'd allow such danger? Gas will EXTUNGUISH A LIT CIGARETTE. This employee was just being a self righteous a*****e. There was NO justification for his assaulting the boy. You can all hate smokers, but know your facts. Gas stations are cigarette safe zones.
I'm guessing that it's a diversion so something else can take place....
If y'all were read on this subject, a cigarette cannot light fumes nor petrol as it's burning point is too low. A lighter has *more* of a chance but even then, as per US regulations, the likelihood is extremely rare. As in rare as "you never hear it happening for a reason" rare. Yes, the attendant was actually quite awesome and the dude was a d**k. But really, folks.
That stuff is toxic. I didn't find this funny. He should have just refused to allow any petrol to be pumped until the smoke was out.
actually, the chemical in dry-chem extinguishers (ABC type canisters) is sodium bicarbonate, which, when exposed to high heat (aka the fire) decomposes into carbon dioxide and some residual sodium. The stuff is also known as 'baking soda; because bakers use it to leaven baked goods. it's pressurized using compressed air. It is most certainly not toxic, or even moderately harmful. and for the record, a lit cigarette at a fill station is literally a time bomb waiting to happen. dithering around with a jackass- or being the jackass- might be the last thing either of them did, so good on the attendant.
Load More Replies...Yes, watching the douchebag (whose hat clearly says he is a DOPE) get served if funny, but spraying someone with chemicals from an ABC fire extinguisher is dangerous and... well, not funny. Now, if it had been a CO2 extinguisher, we're back to hilarious.
Smoking at a pump where you can potentially murder others isn't funny either, gotta pick the best of 2 evils, many dead vs one guy getting sprayed
Load More Replies...I'm sorry for YOUR stupidity, and when you test this theory make sure no one else is around. There are many well documented cases of a lit cigarette carelessly tossed causing fires. and explosions.
Load More Replies...First of all, it's the fumes that ignite, not the gas. and at fill stations, where gasoline is being poured and considerable rates into cars, there's always plenty of fumes. Secondly, assaulting a parking attendant for this would not be justified. it would be assault, and pretty sure that's illegal in all civilized countries, and most the others, too. Thirdly, just because your pump isn't active, doesn't mean nobody else's is, or that there's not spilled gas on the ground, or any number of other sources. Why be an idiot?
Load More Replies...REALLY,? I guess they forgot to tell us Fire Fighters that!
Load More Replies...The cell phone "danger" has been repeatedly disproven. It's nothing more than a persistent myth.
Load More Replies...Nope, actually he was rewarded with a brand new TV for preventing the gas station blowing up
Load More Replies...Yeah, way worse than murderers, rapists and child molesters...
Load More Replies...It's improbable, not impossible. Also the 'myth' you're referring to is if a cigarette lands in a puddle of gasoline. At as gas station the fumes from the gasoline are in a contained area making the likelihood of ignition increase. Especially when the person is holding the cigarette in his hand near the nozzle and/or actively smoking.
Load More Replies...Improbable, not impossible. Especially when the fumes are in a contained space.
Load More Replies...You know what else is not safe - blowing up half the block. The car is on the propane station, not the gasoline one. What would you do - risk the life of hundreds, or risk the comfort of 3 morons?
