Symbols are all around us: in the apps we use, the transportation we take, and even in our collective perception. From road signs to everyday icons, symbols play an essential role in how we communicate, navigate, and interpret the world.
You may have aced Part 1 and Part 2 of this trivia, but we aren’t sure you can get all of these right. Take the challenge and prove you can secure a place on the Bored Panda Leaderboard!

RIGHT???? FIRST ONE, WRONG! B******T, BP!!! "Two devices are connected." SINCE WHEN?!
Load More Replies...That was far from great the first symbol is the Bluetooth symbol it indicates if that is available not if 2 devises are connected
Robin, I was coming to the comments section to make the same point. You are correct. It is the symbol of a short-range wireless technology standard. My laptop and printer are connected, but by wifi, not Bluetooth. Neither machine shows the symbol.
Load More Replies...The last one is rather ambiguous it can mean a lot of things like exit , emergency exit , sharing was not really on top of mind here.
That symbol is used a lot in mobile applications.
Load More Replies...The plus or minus sign can also indicate a range, eg 10 (symbol) 2 means anywhere between 8 and 12. It's not quite the same as saying the square root of 9 is (symbol) 3, although it works for that too.
I bought some cookies once, the packet for which said they weighed ±30 g. Anti-gravity cookies? 🙂
Load More Replies...#19 means no uTurns, not no turns. It's for driving. Not walking.
The first one was the Bluetooth symbol. It doesn't necessarily mean two devices are connected. It CAN mean that two devices are connected via Bluetooth, but it can mean other things, as well. On the side of a product, it could mean it has Bluetooth functionally included. It could mean that a device's Bluetooth is currently on and ready to make connections. Also, you wouldn't use this symbol to indicate two devices are connected if they're not using Bluetooth. They could be using USB or WiFi Direct, and the Bluetooth symbol would be inappropriate.
Q21 was a challenge cos it doesn't include the symbol we're meant to identify!
The "correct" answer for #16 is an inferior selection. A lit bulb only indicates an idea when over someone's head. That bulb looks much more like a test used to indicate that an electrical circuit is live and closed. You could even interpret the box it's on as what it's testing (although it would seem disproportionately large.)
