Without animals, our lives would probably not be as colorful or as interesting as they are now. They add so much beauty just by being their cute, silly selves. That’s why we must not waste a single chance to celebrate these creatures and the awesome things they do.
This list is full of animal memes that come from the ‘animalstypeshi’ Instagram account, which has over 24.7k followers. They enjoy the fun things these dogs, cats, birds, and marine creatures do because they know each one tells a fascinating story.

There’s so much to learn about animals that most of us would never even know, and Bored Teachers shares one such interesting fact about the migration of the Arctic Tern. This small, slender seabird holds the record for the longest migratory journey of any flier, making a round trip of 44,000 miles (71,000 km).
Although they breed in the Arctic during summer months, they are internally driven to fly all the way to Antarctica every year, which can be a tiring journey. These little creatures do their best to avoid foxes and other predators and lay their eggs in small hollows in the ground.
When we look at marine animals, it’s astounding how many interesting and amazing creatures there are. One is the mimic octopus, which copies the appearance of various deep-sea creatures to confuse predators. It is usually found in the Indo-Pacific region, and like its brethren, it uses its chromatophores to blend into its background.
The only difference is that it can mimic the environment or behavior of other animals, either by growing to about 60 cm (2 ft), sprouting arms, or sometimes even producing horns from each eye.
If you’ve ever heard the saying “as blind as a bat,” you’re not wrong to assume these creatures have terrible eyesight. Contrary to popular belief, most of their species can see fairly well, but they still rely on echolocation to navigate and locate prey in the dark.
This misconception stems from their nocturnal nature and enhanced hearing. A bat’s eyes are also attuned to low-light conditions, making it easier to find prey, so they’re technically not as blind as we once thought; they just operate in a way that humans might find hard to do.
Every animal has interesting skills and talents most of us would never guess, like the Archerfish's shooting abilities, which allow it to spit water up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) away. These fast maneuvers are done with incredible accuracy that even human-made motors can't replicate.
These remarkable fish live in groups and are known for this hunting skill, which lets them knock down insects. What’s interesting is that studies show these creatures can learn new, complex sensorimotor skills by just watching one of their group, without even doing the action themselves.
There are so many interesting creatures on land and in the oceans, but one of the coolest surely has to be kangaroos. They look cuddly and cute, but their adorable outsides hide incredible muscles in their hind legs, feet, and tail. That’s why they can cover large distances in a couple of bounds.
The only bizarre thing about them is that they just can’t walk or move in reverse. That’s because of their specialized pentapedal locomotion, where the tail acts like an extra leg and helps them move forward. Only tree kangaroos, which can shift their short, stocky hind legs, can climb down tree trunks in reverse.
When I brought my cat Toby home from the dentist he momentarily forgot he didn’t like his brother. For a couple of wonderful hours they snuggled together until the d***s wore off and Toby remembered they were mortal enemies 😅
Across the world, every animal you see is just trying to survive and do its best, and among them is surely the Wild Bactrian camel. It can drink up to 88 pints (11 gallons) of water at a time. These creatures also store fat in their humps because they are accustomed to more arid ecosystems and know what it takes to survive there.
An awesome thing about these animals is that they don’t sweat as much as humans, and their metabolism slows down at night. Beyond surviving in these regions, they help plants grow by dispersing seeds through their droppings, and their padded feet help preserve desert soil.
From the biggest to the smallest creatures on our planet, all of them are trying to do their best, and one of the cutest is the little bees we see all around. They help pollinate plants, but most of us don’t know they have five eyes. Two are in front, and three are on the top of their heads. The compound eyes recognize shapes, and the top three help them see light.
They definitely don’t see the same way we do, and they can see the ultraviolet spectrum, which means they can recognize petals and go to them to increase the chances of pollination. In addition to sight, bees have two flexible antennae for feeling and smelling.
If you’ve ever seen gorillas, you might have thought of them as very serious and scary creatures, but they actually belch when they’re happy. These massive creatures make soft, deep, two-syllable rumbling sounds which can show that they are at peace, satisfied, and in social harmony within their troop.
Beyond this interesting sound, they have 16 other vocalizations that serve different communication purposes, like roars, growls, pants, barks, and even hiccups. The most common is the burp, usually initiated by the silverback, followed by the rest of the tribe.
There’s so much to know about animals, and memes can only do so much justice to their awesomeness. That’s why we should all do our best for these wonderful creatures by learning about them and looking after them whenever we can.
We’d love to know if you have a favorite animal, and why it holds such a special place in your heart. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Sad - dog needs exercise, more room, attention, and probably companionship.
I LOVE sea slugs! They are so delicate and so colourful!
A horse walks into a bar. The bartender says to him, "You know, I see you in here a lot. Do you think you might be an alcoholic?" The horse replies, "I don't think I am," and then promptly vanishes. This is of course a joke about the famous quote "I think, therefor I am." I could have explained that first, but that would have been putting Descartes before the horse.
