Please help! I'm trying to find a post where a girl said something like: "Nobody solves problems anymore. Everyone is just busy making enough money so that the problems don't affect them..." I'm paraphrasing — the original wording was perfect and I can't remember it exactly. Saw it here on BP multiple times but didn't save it. Does anyone remember this?

Does Joel know about these things called 'political parties' and 'elections'? If the younger generations are serious about changing things then they need to join a party in enough numbers to put in place the party leaders of their choice. It's no good whining on social media; change will only come if you force it to change, and that can only be done from inside the system. Sick of old people choosing other old people to run things? You outnumber us, for crying out loud. Don't just shout for change, put yourselves in a position where you can make the change.

Says the generation entirely codependent on any electronic device, wifi, smart anything to stream, do homework, vlog, ask AI/Chat GTP, influence, shop, make memes, make YouTube and Tik Tok videos, smart homes, electric vehicles... how many new IPhones, tablets, etc.. do you go through? Where do you think that energy comes from to power all that and run it? Where do you think that waste goes? Every generation is a consumer consuming and wasting.

Problem is that a lot of people are waiting for this. Hence, a normal disruption won't make much of a difference. A real collapse can only happen in 3 cases: Either a lot of home owners somehow vanish (Thanos being selective), a huge catastrophe (which includes most house-seekers to also be unable to buy a house, as this would counteract it) - or you take the ownership of surprisingly many houses out of the hands of greedy corporations (yeah, fat chance!)...

Actually, the use is "productive" in that it aims to create as much more individual(!) wealth as possible. But the most productive way typically does involve quite a lot of suffering for the not-so-well-off. Heat pumps show that it's far easier to take something from somewhere else than to create it yourself.

They've done all they can do, and if praying makes everyone feel better let them. There's still plenty of things Science can't explain. Don't take away someone's hope. Literally sometimes that's enough to keep spirits up and make a patient turn around.
